Remember how Ranbir Kapoor paraded in a towel in his debut film Saanwariya', which set the trend of actors appearing clad only in a towel on many TV shows. From Karan Tacker to Karan Singh Grover to Karan Patel all did towel scenes in their shows. And the latest to join this bandwagon is Sartaj Gill from Zee TV s show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani'. The famous Ranbir Kapoor moment is been recreated in the show with Raja appearing in a towel before his Rani.

This scene of Sartaj flaunting his chiselled body will air this week. Rani (Eisha Singh) will accidentally enter his room to find him parading around clad only in a towel. Then, they will have a moment. How filmi!

Apparently, Sartaj gets huge requests from his female fans to appear bare-bodied in his show. He says, "On all my social media platforms, I see requests from my female fans who want to see me shirtless. I am surprised ...why ...So, this one is for them. It is embarrassing to shoot such scenes but that's what makes the show special."

The actor shot this scene with co-star Esha Singh at their studio in Naigaon, Mumbai and Esha also quips that Sartaj's female fans write to her saying that they love the intimate moments between Raja and Rani. Maybe that's why writers write such moments of passion between Raja and Rani. After all, romance sells on TV.

But it seems this strategy is paying off for the show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani'. The show is suddenly amongst the top 10 shows watched across urban and rural areas. Post leap and after the exit of Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick the show has gained a new momentum . The fresh pairing and intense love -hate romance between Raja and Rani is working in the favour of the show.
