I have a lot to say about today's episode, which I loved.
Now let's get back to the promo, I mentioned above. Daadi says, get a bahu who will set this house right.
Pragya was supposed to set Abhi's life right from Daadi's point of view. She was not able to do that when she could not recognize Tannu's evilness or could not honour Abhi's wish to not ship TaBhi but AbhiGya. Pragya left MM to let TaBhi marry.
First of all, I want to dedicate this post to the eldest member of the soap, Daadi!! (Please don't run away, I am not going to praise her).
Let's go back to this promo, from the very early days of Kumkum Bhagya, when Abhi did not know Pragya.

Abhi never wanted to marry during those days. He didn't believe in love/marriage. He was happy with his not so serious flings whatsoever.
Of course that's not the traditional way Daadi would approve of. Although he often mentioned he does not want to marry, Daadi kept on persisting.

Today we learn how Abhi lost his parents and in the tragedy of losing his mother he was about to die. I can't even imagine what it took for a 12 year old to lie down on railway track (Abhi- my heart goes out to you). So Daadi saved him and raised him (thank you for that Daadi, you saved the world a beautiful soul). No wonder Abhi is ever so grateful of Daadi and tries to keep her happy.
That's how he ends up with continuing his marriage with Pragya during the early days of marriage, to keep Daadi happy.
However, Daadi was Pragya's choice. She found a girl who was into traditional values like her and got her as the Mehra Bahu. Not once she asked Abhi if he really liked Pragya. And she kept on supporting Pragya in little ways.
Now let's get back to the promo, I mentioned above. Daadi says, get a bahu who will set this house right.

So Daadi got Pragya back as Mogambo upon knowing the truth, made her powerful, wanted her to prove to Abhi and everyone that she is the one who can set the house right! She wanted to prove to Abhi that Pragya is the best woman he can ever have.
Pragya failed as Mogambo numerous times. Yet Daadi kept on supporting her.
And recently came a time where Pragya gave up again and left Abhi. Daadi failed when Pragya did that.
She immediately went to Abhi to accuse him of throwing Pragya out of the house. She did not think for a moment she needed to tell him the truths about Pragya, Tannu, Nikhil, and the baby he is grieving about. She kept on shouting at him about how he did not respect relationships.
Her only issue was her failure. She had gotten Pragya and made her the Mehra Bahu. She could not tolerate Abhi had not wanted Pragya anymore. She didn't accept that Abhi can let Pragya go.
She did not have the heart to give one hug to Abhi who was dying in the guilt and sorrow of losing his baby. How heartless was that!!
Nevertheless, it all made sense to me again. Daadi wanted to be "right". Daadi wanted Pragya to be the "savior" of Mehra house. Daadi wanted her choice to be the best for Abhi.
She had failed when Pragya left. She was ego-hurt. Hence the outburst.

It explains why Daadi never told Abhi the truth, although even she might admit he would have believed her if she had told him. It also explains why she kept on pushing Pragya despite all her failures. It also shows how she didn't worry about love/trust between AbhiGya but only worried about her goal.
It was Daadi's ego. Just that damned ego.
