"Kabir! Kabir yar wake up! We're about to land!". Nisha was irritated with Kabir, trying unsuccessfully to wake him up for the past 10 minutes. They were about to land in 5 minutes and Kabir was fast asleep.

"Kabir, if you don't wake up on the count of 3, then I'll have to wake you up my way!", Nisha tried warning him, but in vain.

"Alright then", she sighed. With no other choice left she had to resort to her last option. An evil smirk broke out on her lips, she neared his ear and,

"KABIRRR!!!", she screeched, shocking her co-passengers. Kabir jolted out of his sleep and looked at her in horror.

"What the hell Nisha? Are you out of your mind? I could have turned deaf. Good lord! I nearly survived a heart attack." said Kabir, taking deep breaths to calm himself from the sudden rise. He turned to see Nisha giggling away with a sheepish look. He couldn't help shake his head at her childishness.

*At Woodbridge hospital*

"Dr. Kirti, has Dr.Nisha come yet?", asked a man of mid thirties.

"No Sir, not yet.", the girl replied. She appeared to be in her late twenties. "I guess she's...", she stopped short when a voice came from the back.

"May I come in Sir?"

The man and the girl turned to see a girl panting heavily which clearly implied that she must have come running.

"Yes?"

Regaining her composure she spoke, "Hello Sir, Dr.Nisha. Am really sorry that I'm late", she whispered the latter part, mentally cursing Kabir and his untimely romance, because of which she had turned up late.

"That's ok. It happens", smiled the man. "By the way I'm Dr.Umesh, Psychiatrist. And this is Dr.Kirti, 2nd year PG, psychiatry department.", he gestured towards Kirti.

"Hello", Nisha shook hands with her.

"And also your roomie", said Kirti with a wink, making Nisha smile.

"Hey, but you are supposed to report to our senior doc and not me.", Umesh said in a serious tone, scaring Nisha.

"Oh yes! And mind you, he isn't of the jovial nature. He's an uptight disciplinarian and.."

"And a Hitler?", came a gruff voice cutting off Kirti. Nisha gulped seeing a man probably in his late forties or early fifties staring back at the three of them. She cursed her luck for having got a hitler as her senior and not someone like Dr.Umesh.

"Well, seems like you already dislike me?", asked the man as if reading Nisha's thoughts.

"N..no no S..si..Sir! I.. I was just...", stuttered a nervous Nisha but was surprised when he burst out laughing followed by Umesh and Kirti.

"Do I look so menacing?", asked he still laughing. Nisha shook her head embarrassed.

"Oh Nisha! You don't have to be embarrassed. He loves to give the new students a scare. Happened with me too and my case was still worse. I was in tears!", said Kirti smiling. "Anyways, this is..."

"Dr.Shyam, senior psychiatrist. Welcome to Woodbridge hospital, Dr.Nisha", said Shyam looking at Nisha right in the eye.

"Dr.Shyam is a very accomplished and famous psychiatrist, with many successful cases in his kitty. You're very lucky to be working under him.", said Umesh praising Shyam. Nisha nodded and gave a half smile. She was happy to have got a renowned doctor as her senior and mentor. But, at the same time, something about Shyam made her very uncomfortable. He was staring at her, since his intro and it was giving her the jitters.

"Ok then, I've got to attend a patient. See you guys later. Kirti?, fetch Laura's file and meet me in her ward ok?", said Umesh leaving the cubicle.

"Yes sir", and off she went, leaving Nisha and Shyam in an awkward silence.

"Well, Nisha, I suppose you came here today? You can have an off today. I'll meet you tomorrow. 9:00am in my cabin.", said Shyam, still holding Nisha's gaze.

"Ok sir, Thank you", Nisha passed a tight smile at him and turned taking a sigh of relief.
