Shahid Kapoor to play Deepika's Husband in Padmavathi

The latest buzz doing the rounds is Shahid Kapoor has been approached to play Raja Rawal Ratan Singh of Mewar in Sanjay Leela's nexty ambitious venture, Padmavati.


A source told SpotboyE, "Bhansali wants Shahid to play the Chittor King who is married to Rani Padmini of Chittorgarh."


If Shahid signs on the dotted line, it will be his first outing with Bhansali and also with Ranveer and Deepika.


What is interesting here is that so far, Shahid has always maintained a safe distance from his ex-girlfriends.

1. After his break-up with Kareena Kapoor, he worked in Udta Punjab which also had Kareena--- but did not share screen space with her.


2. Post his split with Priyanka Chopra, he has not played her male lead in any project till date.




3. Ditto for Vidya Balan, with whom he had grown close during the days of Kismat Konnection.




4. A few days ago, rumour had it that Deepika didn't want to see a TV actor in Ratan Singh's role as she didn't want to romance a TV actor on screen. So while Deepika may just be okay to instead have Shahid in the frame, the two questions that come to mind are:
Will Shahid make the exception of working with an ex-girlfriend when it comes to Deepika? Deepika and he were allegedly very close to each other, four years ago. Reportedly, his car was often parked in Deepika's building at Pali Hill, those were the days when she stayed in Cozy Home Apts. For those who've come in late, Shahid got close to Deepika after he parted ways with Priyanka and Deepika called it a day with Ranbir Kapoor.

I never heard about Shahid dating DP rumor . But I am pretty sure that next time DP haters will add his name in DP's ex list . Here in BW forum today's baseless article is tomorrow's gospel truth 😉😆
