My Box Office Predictions of Great Grand Masti

Flash forward to 2016. GREAT GRAND MASTI has been leaked on the internet, causing the makers to release the film a week early. The damage is done. The leak has been out for quite a while now, unlike UDTA PUNJAB which had its leak happen just days before release. It's a worse situation for GREAT GRAND MASTI, as many would have seen the film already.

Irrespective of whether the film is good or bad (which I have read mixed feedback so far), the leaked/early release has done the damage and the film won't be able to collect much at the ticket window. I was predicting a 6 crore opening (probably because the GRAND MASTI collected 12 crores in 2013, and with the news of the leak, I figured GREAT GRAND MASTI would collect about half of that) and as it turns out, Indicine also gave a similar opening day prediction later at some point. Box Office India has already reported a low opening for the film. The SULTAN wave is still there at the ticket window, and it seems GREAT GRAND MASTI won't be able to do much at the box office. Also, adult comedies this year (KYA KOOL HAI HUM 3 and MASTIZAADE) didn't do too well at the box office this year, and it seems the trend may now continue with GREAT GRAND MASTI, especially with the low opening/leaked release.

My Box Office Predictions for GREAT GRAND MASTI:

Opening Day: 6 crores net

Opening Weekend: 18 crores net

Lifetime Collections: 35 crores net

Overall Box Office Collections: Flop

Sorry for the late reply bro...the whole leak situation with films recently (Udta Punjab and GGM) is indeed scary. There was also the threat of Dishoom getting leaked apparently, but it appears it didn't happen. There definitely should be some sort of investigation going on.

@Elvis agreed, it is sad to see the end of the franchise. GM was just about decent, but I loved the first film that came in 2004, one of my all time favourite comedies. I've yet to see GGM...
