Okay I am so massively pissed that I can't even begin to put it in words for you to know what actually is looming over my head. Imagine Hades from Hercules with his head on fire. That is exactly who I am at the moment. For starters it feels like the Production House is back to being the notorious apaches they've always been. This was by far the shittiest episode in the run of the series. There were major editing glitches, no consistency and under average performance by every freakin' actor out there. Whatever happened???
So it begins with Tej taunting his sons saying that he is a product of Haward, Shivaay went to Cambridge and the only thing of significance for Om and Rudra to flaunt is that they went to jail. Tej had been purposely instigating Omkara t have no reaction from him. Shivaay tries to play the mediator by inviting Tej to join them for lunch. And he does join them praising Shivaay and earning surprise glares from both Rudra and Omkara.
So Tej as a character is build with layers and has a lot of potential to begin with. He easily gels with the younger men of the house proving that if he sheds his glacial hunger for power, he might as well be the happy human that the boys had always been looking for. Tej has a maniacal surge for all thing that is power, but he wears this black heart on his sleeve. At least his intentions are all out in the open and it can be dealt with. Unlike Shakti and Roop who have been harboring their own sets of sinister plots to see the daylight. Tej has a lot of potential to begin with but then again; I will like to strangle all my hopes lest I should be disappointed and disappointed thoroughly!
Also the Pinki and Jhanvi angle. It seems that these two women actually care about each other, it is only the grief of one and ambition of the other that makes it difficult to bridge the gap that conjures itself after every while. It also felt that Jhanvi has acted like a support system for Pinki; might be unknowingly, but she has played the said role. In the upper hierarchy where these Oberois rule, Pinki is certainly a miscast...all these years if she has survived and survived well it is all because of Jhanvi who held her on. Maybe Pinki realizes this and while she wants to see her son on the throne...she bears no ill-will on Rudra, Om or their mother Jhanvi. Yes she is too blunt but then again she seemingly cares in her own twisted ways.
So the furor is caused by the MMS making Jhanvi loose her inhibitions and fall unconscious; only to wake up later and watch the shame with the entire family. Shivaay is clenching with suppressed fury, Rudra is in shock while Om is in tears at seeing his old days return with a poisonous grip on him yet again. He silently leaves in the darkness while Jhanvi volcanically hits out at Tej. I do believe that Jhanvi must have been political advantage for Tej in his business venture; but then to stay put with a man like him for so long is something that I cannot bring myself to understand. She is an elitist, her mannerisms say that she must have bred in the higher societies...if all of these are indeed true what stopped her from going all out and seeking a divorce before it came to murkier scenes such as this? She is intriguing me to no end. Out of all the gloom that hovered over the episode the only sunshine that we got was Jhanvi standing up and holding Tej by his collar. Maybe she will shed his silence now when her sons need her the most.
Shivaay chides them all saying that they need to think of his brother whom he had begged and brought of the darkness. He tells them how it had taken all his strength to stitch him back and now if anything happens he will never be able to stitch him back, maybe nothing ever will. He turns around to console him when he sees him missing and this is the precise moment that panic hits him hard. He runs along with Rudra to his room and checks whether Om had been taking his pills again or not? Rudra's scream from downstairs confirms his worst nightmare. He rushes down only to find that Om had sunk pills in him and was waiting in the water for death to claim him. Om is a broken man; this fact was established within a few moments after the opening of the series...but he is also a coward of sorts who takes the easiest way out. Just the other day when Shivaay had been hospitalized it was so difficult for him to breathe calmly. He had been hit so hard that he might lose his brother and now he is making Shivaay go through the same. I am sorry but this suicidal tendency of Om is something that I hated. He is self-deprecating, I can understand. To be forced to walk over broken shards of his parent's unhappy marriage is not an easy thing but he has always had his brother by him and how can he be that selfish to not think about the man who will fall apart if anything happens to Om again? Rudra was back to the shock he had experienced in the hospital. The older ObBros have been so busy cleaning the mess and guarding Rudra that they did not allow him to grow at all and that is the biggest demerit gained on their part. Rudra will fall if not held and Shivaay and Om are constantly inventing ways to shred him to pieces whether knowingly or unknowingly.
And who the hell was the editor for the last night's episode? I mean Omkara is lying in the pool, half dead and the scene switches to Shivaay manhandling a man? And just because that guy said the chip had been given to him by a girl; Shivaay zeroes it that it must have been Anika??? I am sorry but he is a culprit here. Not a man who had been trying to do damage control. If he indeed had to do something then he would have asked his PR people to take the video off the news channels and internet. He would have asked then to keep a close eye on any leak in the setting and inform him with all latest developments. But no, the man barges into Anika's home, thrashes her, manhandles her and makes a claim that she is bikaau'. Tell me how is it that a man such as this, who cannot even try and think straight, runs an empire as big as this? Being shrewd is also an art to be practiced with precision at every waking moment and Shivaay isn't shrewd at all. He could have engaged a private eye behind Anika to see if she indeed was involved or not...but he doesn't and goes on spewing every crap that his mind can think of at that moment. I am officially giving up on Shivika for their exchanges are pathetic now. This was one story that had potential but it is all flowing down the drain now.
And back at home whatever happened to Om? His character had a solid potential punch but it just went berserk. And that was just because! He is praying that Shivaay shouldn't do anything stupid in his anger. Excuse me darling, but isn't that something you just did by snorting on those vile drugs that could have killed you had Shivaay not acted almost immediately?? Next Tej does care about his son but the relation between the two have so been tarnished that his genuine efforts to wipe the slate clean is resulting him with no returns.
Also there were hordes of character that are simply unused. Is Piku adopted that she doesn't care for her brothers? There has not been a single scene that can claim so. She is the only sister to three brothers...she should be the one closest to all three but sadly she is never explored. Jhanvi and her relation with the three sons is another scattered dust. She claims she loves Shivaay, Shivaay claims that he love his Badi Ma but the two are hardly seen interacting. Pinki has nothing more to do than be a loud mouth, Shakti is rarely seen and to add to it we had the entry of Soumya and Ishana. So my question is how are they going to use them all? The story seems to stagnate with so many characters clogging the pipeline of flow. Trust me this feels like another version of Qubool Hai that started on promise and ended on a note that all of us want to forget. The writing was lousy and so were the performances. Both Nakul and Kunal disappointed. Kunal looked disinterested while Nakul seemed pre-occupied in his scenes. And the rest they simply turned into a flower pot for decorative purposes.
God this was the lowest that we were served with. And the precap adds to my dislike. Seriously Shivaay is planning to buy Anika??? I am sorry but this left such a bad taste in the mouth. If this is their definition of love then I will pray to god that He never sends me romantic love. I am sure I don't want to be bought or broken or manhandled the way Gul's leads do!
Also isn't this series supposed to be the story of three brothers who go by "ek doosre ke zaroori hissey hain, ye ek kahaani ke teen kissey hain" ? If that is true then why the hell are you shoving love stories in our faces? We all would like to see then fall in love but not like this; let them take their own sweet time before they actually go on a proposing spree.
I am done with it all. Trust me this kind of stupidity I cannot take anymore.
