Why is Dev still hiding his love affair??

Today, wen Ishwari asked Dev if hez hiding anythn from her..for a moment he was shocked...probably guilty coz indeed he is hiding the most important change in his life...however ,wen Ishwari mentioned about Neha, he seemed a bit relieved...but since he has an idea that Ishwari doesnt like Dev hiding even the smallest thng from her..like visiting Neha for a few minutes..how wll she tolerate the news abt him and Sonakshis relation kept hidden from her..I am confused as to why is Dev still hiding it from his mom...atleast after the way Ishwari was doubting him today..he shld open up to her before thngs go out of control..i am not able to gauge Devs thought process...wat do u guys think? What cld be the reaSON he still isnt ready to share this important detail abt his life...is it cz hez scared of the response , hez is worried that his mother might not accept it and he jus wants to enjoy the moment wth Sonakshi without worryin abt the future or is it coz he is sure that his mother wll not have any problem and everythin wll go smoothly or can there be any other reason..i mean ,Devakshi have tken enough time to strengthen there bond and understand each other..they have made vows together..promised never to leave one another..ab aur kya baaki hain...?

This is the million dollar question on most minds... Not only that, I felt a kind of guilt too when Ishwari tells him about asking Sona for the files... I wonder why... Is he shy? Does he think that his mom will not approve of love? Lot of questions... No answers...

nor do they expect us to...but here ishwari believes that dev wld never hide anythin from her and dev hadsalways kept that belieif intact except this one time...

I think Dev firmly believes his mother will support him in all his decisions. Like she said after he broke off the engagement.

He might have been waiting for the right time to share this with his mother. Initially Dev n Sona needed time to understand each other, then everyone got busy with Neha's wedding. Now the family will again get busy with problems of Neha's married life and business loss. Maybe Dev feels he shud solve the family and business problems first rather than thinking about his own marriage.

Agree with you...

Dev is a selfless character, whose first and foremost priority is his mom and his three sisters. He could be feeling guilty that he is seeking happiness for himself also, and out of this guilt, he is hiding his relationship with Sonakshi from his mom. Just my POV.

I think Dev want that his responsibilities thoda kum ho jaye as the marriage segment of Neha , Erica ,,, abhi tho Ria aur Nikki ki zimendari hai then we think about us our relationship too
