These days Karthik is the main attraction (hero) in the show so to give Naksh some lines they have made him protective brother. They have always shown Naksh as short tempered and very irritable.

I think naksh is right at his own place. He just wants to protect his sisters nothing else. And they even dont know much about kartik.
