So we're back again to the thread and can I make this confession that I have mixed feelings over all that we saw last night?
So the episode continued to where it had left, Shivaay has a near escape from the clutches of death, leaving both Om and Rudra in suppressed pain over the entire unfolding of the events. Shivaay, too is in shock at seeing what possibly could have happened just in nick of time. You can see the very fabric of the three is connected to each other. Shivaay was shocked not because he could have died but because he knew Om and Rudra would stop functioning if anything indeed happens to him. He, like the mythological Yudhishthir, is so much more than just being Om and Rudra's older brother. (okay I detest Yudhishthir out of Mahabharata, but I do believe in giving credit where is due!) Shivaay became that father and guiding light that both the junior ObBros lacked. Tej was never around to hold them up when they fell, neither was he there to soothe their wounds if they were hurt. It was Shivaay, it has always been Shivaay who played the role of their father, their best friend, preceptor and guide. It was him who pulled Om out of his mess when it should have been Tej. It was him who shielded Rudra when it should have been Tej and that was the reason why we did see an evident fear in Shivaay. He might not love himself to an extent that he would wear an armor to save himself, but he definitely cares about his brothers and that is the reason why he fears death.
Om was in shock and rightly so. It was not just his brother who was put at risk but also his other half of his existence. You can clearly see that the bond that exists between the two transcends every logical explanation. Maybe it was Shivaay and Shivaay alone a reason that brought Om out of the pit that he had willingly drowned himself into. His mother, his Dadi and Piku were but secondary reasons. The prime focus was Shivaay, the man whom he has kept on a zenith of his existence.
Rudra was numb, not knowing where to sail to. That was a brilliant scene because that gave us such insights into this younger one. Rudra holds Shivaay as a superhero in his life. One who is all mighty and invincible! A hero that can brave any storm and emerge winning over all the super villains and their nefarious intentions combined. It was a rude shock for Rudra to see that even this invincible hero his was susceptible to basic threats of life and death. The reason why Shivaay went to him and hugged him, assuring that he is fine was because he knew that Rudra has never seen him as a mere mortal failing to death. Instead he views him as all super heroes combined. It was important for him to make Rudra believe that his hero hasn't been hurt and is fine.
And the scene next to it where the brothers have an emotional hug was so serene that I can't even begin to put it into words. That gave you such feels, like your insides were bloating with a bright light. I love bromance. Bas!
And what a barmy group of security! I mean after a blast in the premises all they do is stand there with their guns playing ring-a-ring-a-roses??? The first action is to pull the survivors out of the blast site to avoid any second degree hit, and these addled men were happily enjoying the brother's reunion? And I have this serious question is Shivaay a mutant that a blast of such intensity did not affect him at all? The blast radius is usually high. Shivaay should have been cut through by the glass and metal shards of the sedan and Om and Rudra should have taken a hit as well. But well R.I.P. Logic.
I have to make a special mention of Nakul today as he was brilliant with his controlled expressions showing both shock and pain for his brothers. See CV's the guy can act so brilliantly, why not use him more other than girl-manhandling and give-khadoos-look scenes??
I liked Tej today when he was chiding the security team. They deserve their ass beaten thoroughly! A little tip for you Oberois, fire your security team and get some Bahadurs to work for ya. Trust me they'd be much better than the loonies you have been breeding in your premises. What's the use of spending so much on bunch of people who can't even act according to protocols? And tell me this don't these people have CCTV cameras and a control unit? They could have easily checked who rigged the car but they didn't. Kya faida 15 hazaar carore kii property honey ka jab ek CCTV camera bhi afford nahi kar saktey???
Well forget it. I think I am asking for too much when I say logic and basics of science.
So after a long while you have Tej and Shakti agreeing on a thing. Both wanted to postpone Shivaay's engagement to a later date in light of the events that unfolded. But their idea was put to a total rest by Tia and her mom Sandhya. Something tells me that they are nothing but money mongers, trying to mint money out of their union with the Oberois. I somehow find them diabolical to be honest.
Again the surprise factor of the episode was Jhanvi. The woman had been crying over what could have happened to Shivaay. When Pinki blamed her for the mishap that had fallen over Shivaay, Jhanvi again rings it out loud that Shivaay is as dear to her as her own sons. And before Pinki can retort any further, Shivaay jumps to his Badi Ma's defense saying nothing really happened. I, now, badly want to see more of Jhanvi and Shivaay. They seem to share a lovable mother-son bond. Shivaay is quite uncomfortable around his own birth mother but not Jhanvi, pointing to the fact that it must have Jhanvi who supported him in his growing years when his own mother couldn't.
Now what I absolutely hated in the episode was troubles that fell one after the other over Anika. I believe the CV's are overdoing Shivaay-Anika angle. Yes, we got to know about Shivaay's psyche, yes we got to know over his extreme control but that doesn't mean we need to have it served on our platter every freakin' day! I am tired of seeing the kind of drama that CV's are building for these two. So we'll now have more of misunderstanding and blaming each other over Saahil and the micro-chip saga. Urrggh! I cannot take it anymore. CV's either you give a decent story on their front or not show it to us at all!
And now the dumbest villain award goes to, wait for it, Scar-waali-aunty! *slowclap*
She administered a GHB drug on Shivaay. This kind of drug only makes a person loose his inhibitions and after a while he faints to oblivion only to wake up with a blank space in his memory. What was that stupid woman trying to achieve by giving Shivaay such a drug?? He would have fainted and then woke up not remembering what had happened. Her luck favored her when Shivaay fell over the glass and hurt himself badly with shards cutting him through; but if that hadn't happened if would have been completely fine. So tell me scar-waali-aunty what exactly are you planning to do??? If she indeed has to murder Shivaay can't she hire a free-gun to shoot him point blank and get it over with? No one would suspect her as it would be someone else pulling the trigger but no she goes about playing these stupid tricks. Are the days of smart-ass villains gone? I am suspecting that Shivaay would remember being held by a woman before falling over the glass pane. God this woman, she needs to do a crash course on being an antagonist!
Precap, the brothers are in deep pain seeing their beloved one in hospital. Rudra and Om were so vulnerable at that moment that my heart went out to the two.
P.S. Jhanvi looked smoking hot! Pata nahi Tej ko kya dikhta hai uss Svetlana mein?
P.P.S. Our beloved Ruddy was so saddened that Shivaay was caught up in a blast because he had prayed for his engagement to be off. He was such a cutie-pie in there. Oh sweets, as Om said, it wasn't your fault!
