Today I would say Suman heard the worst insults of her life. And as an independent woman, working woman, a woman on most occasions hear comments like a woman working in IT is not a suitable wife, bahu or mother I could understand what Suman was feeling. A feeling of getting crushed. Ramnath pushed on her the worst patriarchal view of woman should manage only home . He talks about understanding. Does he have one.
How can even Shravan think she will come for him. I could very well understand the way Suman told she cannot come leaving everything. She too has her priorties. Her Mami believes her daughter's marriage will happen now as Ramnath has agreed to help. Suman cannot walk out on that hope whether she likes it or doesnt like it.

Manju is after all a mother. How serious Pushkar and Preeti are is secondary issue. But Roka has happened and most middle class families doesnt like to break the Roka. Suman cannot be the reason for breaking Preeti's Rishtha.

Shravan has to understand just like he listens to his father, Sumo also has obligations. As she lost her parents and has grown up under the care of her nanu and mamu. She cannot take her personal life over them.

Only Shravan can come out of his shell. Understand what Ramnath has done and make her his own. She cannot come. Even if cheque was not there after listening to what Ramnath told she cannot come for him. No woman with self respect will accept Shravan's proposal after knowing what her would be FIL thinks about her.

What I liked was Suman kept her phone over the cheque. Anyday in her heart Shravan is over and above anything else. But for that to become reality Shravan also has to put effort in breaking his chains and growing up
