Talking about Kareena Kapoor's pregnancy affecting Veeri Di Wedding and her career, exhibitor and distributor Akshaye Rathi mentioned, "If a film is already underway, then of course it may hamper or alter the schedule. It may also make the film-makers pull back their plans. But that apart, if you look at her career, I don't think (her pregnancy will affect anything). We have seen enough actresses turn mothers and their stardom has remained intact. So there won't be any problem on that front. With due respect, she is one of India's top actresses with a huge fan following. These are old myths. People thought that after an actress gets married, her career gets affected. But if you look at her career, she has given us hits even after marriage with films like Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Ki & Ka. So all these are myths of the old days and (her pregnancy) won't affect her career, stardom or popularity in any way."

Earlier when we has asked trade analyst and Editor of Supercinema, Amul Mohan a similar question, he replied, "It (an actress being pregnant) never has and never will (affect a film or their career)."

I actually think more than marriage itself, pregnancy is a potential obstacle in Bollywood, just coz you end up taking maternity leave, and we all know what happens when you're out of sight...

THAT SAID

Kareena has already signed less and less movies and she's still very much relevant. Also, shooting throughout her pregnancy so that she has a film ready when the baby comes was GENIUS!

She is exactly in sane trimester when her mil was expecting with saif n later with other daughter

All da best to bebo, sonam ,shika,swara and @ll cast crew of veera di wedding.
And I don't know why media is sooo writing so much. It happened in all other fields'.
I remember kjo told that the moment koi mil Gaya song finished and they got good news aryan born.srk was so much ease in songl.u cant even say.so lets see saif ko kahan news milegi??

Its true that marriage does affect the actresses career, she becomes less desirable to the male audience. After kids lot of things change. Most importantly marriage and child changes the type of roles the actress can do. It did affect Aish but to a lesser extent Kajol too. They dont get the masses heroine roles which are most abundant. The actors stop working with them, producers and directors stop casting them. Suddenly from top rung they fall down to middle or lower rung. At the end of the day its their call and its better to take it at the right time.

Media said Kareena told producer to complete the shooting by Aug/Sept so that the baby bump isnt much visible.

Kareena made the right decision to marry Saif, who is at a stage in life where he would want to be settled down peacefully and Kareena gets the security and luxurious life. As such she is 35/36 so having a baby is fine.

Ash tried to be another genius...wanted to shoot for Heroine during her pregnancy. Its a different matter she didnt keep her producer and director informed about it and they found out from the press. Kareena has learnt from Ash's professional blunder and kept her producer informed and they are fine with it. But who knows what happens after the baby is born. If Kareena bloats up like Ash did or turns out to be a helicopter mom then career goes for a toss. Its not as if she is at the top of her game right now.

kareena will not be affected like aish..

for starters she has always been consistent in BW unlike aish

there has not been a single year so far where she hasn't had a release..16 years straight..and make that 17 now..coz Veere releases in mid 17 most likely..so this means when her baby is already 4-5 months old..she be having a release..something which very few actresses have enjoyed..and who knows..may be by end of 2017 she takes up another role when her baby is a year old and that gets a release in 2018..making it 18 years straight..meaning she be working 18 straight years without this much jinxed term "comeback' coming to play! wow

and secondly..a bit subjective..but she has talent to always back her up even if she bloats the hell up..for aish and the kind of roles she got after comeback never really expected her to look like she did in dhoom 2..they didn't work not coz she lost shape etc but coz she completely forgot even the little bit of acting she knew before..

I've always maintained, if Kareena plays her cards right, she will be remembered for years to come.

Also, credit must go to her husband as well for begin so so SO super encouraging and supportive of his wife. That's not to say women can't do anything on their own, but man or woman, it does help to have a partner that supports you, loves you, and makes you soar in every aspect of your life.
