Suman and Shravan deservedly got all our attention this week- but I think it's time to give Mami her due.
Right from the beginning when she arrived at the hospital to see Suman, she was so despondent. You'd think that it was Preeti who had had an accident. She cared for Sumo, cried on seeing her plight, fed her, took tender care of her, and was careful not to show her despair in front of her.
Mami DOES have a heart...I just love it when we expect something and the writers do a volte face. She didn't even mention the medical bills or the time taken to take care of Sumo even once- she did everything sincerely, unconditionally, as a mother would do for a child. I found her to be much more sincere than Rachna, who just cried and did nothing.
Loads of respect to Mami- goes to show that even if she's grey, at the end of the day- she is a mother. And a mother always stands by her child and goes to hell and back for her.đ
How cute was Dabbu in the puja scene yesterday- he's so effin cute, I just wanted to lift him in my arms and give him a BIG hug. His cheeks...â¤ď¸ I legit cried when he was praying to God yesterday.
In fact, Suman's entire family, including Mausa ji, who sought divine intervention on his niece's behalf, Mama ji (who cares for her like his own daughter), Nanu (her number one supporter, as always), Masi, Preeti, Dabbu, and even her PCT family, stood by her like a rock during these testing times. If she has a family like this, she needn't be afraid of anything in life. đł And on top of it- she has this wonderful, sensitive man in her life who'd just lay his life down for her- I'm so jealous of Suman right nowđĄ
As they're unfolding this PreeKar story as a foil to ShraMan's, I thought that there's some growth for Preeti too in this track- remember in the beginning, when Suman had to wake her sister up in the morning everyday with her juice? But here we had an interesting role reversal- for the first time, Preeti sincerely tended to her sister, fed her soupđ and took care of all her needs. Nice to see that she isn't so self-absorbed anymore, because that would mean that she ain't right for our sweet Pushkinđł
