Hi, read through the wonderful thoughts that has been penned down in this thread. Each one is right in their own way.

My thinking is however perfect a mother is ( even if it is Ishwariji) some time or the other the mother may commit a mistake either intentionally or unintentionally. Its a natural process all mothers go through. Ishwariji is on the thresh hold of commiting a few such mistakes now inorder to retain the relationships she has woven around herself for so many years. But she being Ishwariji, will definitely no sooner or later accept this and make the necessary changes. She has been a tough nut and this tough nut will take time.

We all knew that the USP of this serial was Dev- Ishwari relationship. So I guess its time we try and see it from the creatives point of view, may be the journey will just get all the more interesting.😊

@ bold

totally agree😛

one question????

are we OK with her mistakes?????

The pain n suffering that will engulf the most important person in her life due to her mistake...are we ready for that?????????

Are we ready to give valid reasons for her grey character??????????????

I would say its a journey of a Woman.

A girl --> Daughter, sister, friend --> Wife, DIL, SIL --> MIL --> Granny ...

All stages are really beautiful

Every Woman is special , A very special creation of GOD.

exactly

Undoubtdly Ishwari ji might have been a wonderful daughter n wife

She is the best mother (till now)

every human being has a flaw but her flaw is over the top( my POV even though its too early to say...if CVS will show valid reasons for that i will be the first one to praise )

I agree. In this serial they have shown a mother's immense respect and love for her son who has with his dedication and tireless efforts brought them out of poverty to give them a highly dignified life.

One has heard many times via Neha or Radha Rani, that for Eshwari, her Dev is more special from among all her children. Eshwari as his mother used to look forward to spending that special time on her birthday with her son, purely because he made time to be with her, he used to pamper her, and basically because both of them want to be together. The sisters knew of their special time and bonding and used to tease the mother in a loving way. I do not think this has any emphasis on being gender partial or possessiveness. Its just a bonding between a son and his mother.

Yesterday also Eshwari made a statement that it is not for the gift or the designer sarees he presents, its for that time that he chooses to be with her. And she was so looking forward to it.

I think she has been a wonderful and a fair mother. we must not grudge that she was so crestfallen when he brought her the gift. She was least interested in the gift, she was at a loss, it was like a toy taken away from a child. a feeling that mind could not grasp the fact that she did not merit that special time this birthday, I am sure she feels disoriented, hurt, sad, she is not hitting out at Dev by wearing another saree, it is just not important... Todays episode will bring in more clarity... I hope it also shows that Dev understands his mother's sadness and what exactly was important on her birthday and that the CVs don't trivialize it, to show it as her jealousy. The CVs have always given us great episodes till now.

I think Eshwari has acted wonderfully well, her emoting of surprise, confusion, hurt, was so well done, it pulled my heart strings...

I look forward to seeing her loosen those strings that she bound her son with, but it will be a journey of letting go and accepting his new phase in life.

You're so right. She's three daughters, so what if one of her daughters get a life partner where the mother-in-law is not ready to accept presence of any other person in her son's life ?? Would Ishwari like that ??
Don't put some one's daughter through some thing that you can't bear to see happening with your own daughter !

She is least bothered abt her daughters..even if same situation arose in her daughter's life, she wud just ask her daughter to suffer without complaining. Dev is more concerned abt her sister's well being compared to his mother.

The more I see this facet of Ishwari, the more I admire Neha. She is the only one who understands Ishwari's possesiveness for Dev and is always vocal about it. I wonder why Ria Nikki doesnt feel bad when Ishwari doesnt love them equally as she loves Dev.

Dev, who claims he understands his mother very well, actually has nvr realised this and he feels Neha complaints bcoz of her bitterness.

I guess it will be Sona who will make Ishwari understand about unconditional, unselfish love but before that we will have a lot of this obsessive, suffocating love of Ishwari for her son.

@bold same here...n at last she will

But in between journey...she will hurt to people whom she loves...the journey will be no differnet than KaiKai( god Ram's step mother) sending her son n DIL to banbaas for 14 years and realising her mistakes later

I don't mean to compare Ishwari ji with Kaikai here...She is obviously Kauslaya here...was just trying to give an example...

Dev - never understood that his mother liked going out with him. So its not the Saree that mattered but its the whole activity that she gets to do along with him . All these years he took his mom out because he didnt know how to buy a saree by himself. Todays episode shows that he has always wanted to buy one for his mom and surprise her like his sisters but never had the guts to do that because he felt he couldnt choose the best for her

Now you might think/argue, then how did he pick one for Sona . Well he is himself in front of her. There is no wall between them. There is no need to build an image of perfection in front of her because she has accepted him with his flaws. But when it comes to his family they look up to him and he can never go wrong.

Sonakshi - Poor girl doesnt know the reality . All she did was help him pick a Saree for his mom , whom she is slowly trying to give space in her life too... She to some extent understands the dynamics between the son and mom. But I am sure she didnt know the emotion attached to the task of picking a saree from his mom's point of view.

Ishwari - She becomes a child sometimes in front of her son. We have seen this before also when she fusses with food and her eating habit. And thats exactly what happened today also. She forgot that she is elder and is mother of four. Instead of taking a matured stand and respecting her grown up son's need to surprise her , she became a kid...

Agree with you competely.
Dev simply hasnt realised that his mother's wish was to spend time with him, she doesnt want saree but some mother son bonding time. He just wanted to surprise Ishwari like his sisters had done. But Neha understands this and maybe later she will help Dev to understand their mother btr.

When Ishwari felt Dev wore orange shirt for Natasha, Sona understood Ishwari's insecurities and told her that for Dev nothing more is important than his mother. I guess even before Dev understands his mother's possesiveness abt him, Sona wud realise it. Poor Sona she wud have to suffer again bcoz of this weird love between mother son. Earlier Dev destroyed her career for his mother and now Ishwari will destroy her personal life too.

Ishwari gives utmost importance to Dev and she is aware that Dev thinks of her as god. She wudnt like any sharing of Dev's affection as she herself has given all her love to Dev, even some part of her daughters' share.
