Friends,

I have listed down some of the decisions in challenge 2005, which in my opinion were not fair (with due respect to all the Judges & Mentors). If you are given a chance to change one decision of all these, which one would be your pick.

Please post your comments. Also let us know if any other incidents can be added to the list.

i think the tie was most controversial- ujjaini was certainly the clear winner that day........i think keka winning over ujjaini was sad but not controversial as keka on that day had sung better.

But i think you missed the one where vishwaas lost to vineet first and then to irfan

I doubt Aishwarya will be able to make any mark at all. If he comes back then it is pure luck. There are more able contestants who got red card and deserve to be in the competition. I think rating Gharanas is a mistake. They should ask people to vote for the contestants directly. For instance, Vishwas deserves to be in the final candidates, but he will not be recalled as his Gharana is not at the top.

I also have my doubts of Aishwarya. He has a very husky voice and didn't show enough control on breathing. Probably he is a good stage performer (like Qazi in FG), but definitely didn't look like a very able singer. Although, he is still very young and will be a good singer one day if he gets proper guidance.

i agree with you. I am really surprised how could judges give the green card to rajeev that day, who has so much to learn in terms of basic sur etc. And I really couldn't find any rooh in his singing that day ( though I agree he has a great voice and a passion to make it big, somewhat like Paresh). On the contrary I felt debojit's "rimjhim gire" was very heart touching. I personally feel a tie-breaker between debu and abhijit for the green card would have been a better option.

I fully agree. In the 3rd phase, after seeing their performances in the 2 rounds, I feel Debu and Abhijit should be the ones getting the green and blue cards. I have nothing against Rajiv. He has good potential and a distinct voice type that I like very much but he is not fully ready to compete at the level where he has reached. He needs couple of years of good training and a lot of riyaz to become flawless with his sur. He was besura many times in 3rd phase. Just singing with "rooh" is not sufficient. And by the way, I personally feel that Debu had put more "rooh" in Rimzim Gire Sawaan than what Rajiv had put in his song.

And I also think that Rajiv is been the most lucky person so far. In the prelim round, he could not remember his song so he had to stop. After restarting he became total besura in antara and had to stop again. This is not expected from a singer who is competing at this level. It was his luck that SRGMP asked people to SMS to get him back as standby. He may have sung well in 1st and 2nd phase but in the 3rd phase he was lucky again not to get in the round where Daler and Panditji were judges who are so particular about sur that they go to the other extreme. I feel sad that the better singers like Vishwas, Abhijit and Niladri (and Ujjaini and Sanchali in girls) could not make to the final but Rajiv with all his flaws could. Again I have nothing against him -- I feel he needs a bit of training and lots and lots of riyaz --first just to get to the level of these talented knocked out singers--- and then to compete in the final with likes of well-trained, flawless "Telugu Bidda" --- Hemachandra.

All Rajiv fans, sorry for this but this is my sincere opinion.

And did you guys notice, when Rajiv sang with Shaan and Twinkle at the beginning of blue card round, he hand the songs written on his hands. Doesn't speak very well on his sincirety.

In all this, bechara Abhijit fell victim. I felt he sang wonderfully yesterday in the solo round.
