An amazing writeup... Quite an insight into all the characters and Balance... you just hit the nail on its head.. that's exactly what the writers were trying to bring about..
Similar in so many ways and yet so different two relationships put in front of us but the same end goal to strike a balance!!

👏👏

Both your posts were bang on.

Sam your main post and the reply post to aaliah both are bang on.

This thread should be made a sticky for all those who think Neha is a complicated character, she is not, rather Ishwari is the complicated one.

I am not good at writing the way you did.

Thank you!

I am thoroughly enjoying the juxtaposition of the two relationships, and how it plays on the central theme of dil vs. dimag. If Neha is thinking too much from her head, and not allowing her heart to take the lead, Dev is the opposite right now, allowing himself to enjoy his time with Sona without really thinking about the consequences that could arise. Both of them can learn from each other, but only when Dev treats Neha like the capable adult that she is, and Neha sees herself that way as well.

Thanks for your response! Neha really has gotten the short end of the stick in her family. Ishwari has always treats Dev like an adult and consults him as an equal on all decisions of the household. But she still thinks of Neha as a stubborn child, and talks about her with condescension, instead of acknowledging how capable she is. Neha single-handedly raised her sisters to be humble, hardworking, and confident and gave them the balance that she and Dev never had. She did all the hard work, but when it comes to making decisions, like whether Nikki should be allowed to go on a college trip, Dev, who knows next to nothing about Nikki gets the final say. If Neha wasn't frustrated and bitter about this double standard, she'd be a saint!

I think at some point, Neha just gave up demanding respect and thought, if you are going to treat me like a child, I might as well behave like one. That's why we see two completely different sides of her with her sisters vs. Dev and Ishwari.
