Res - will unres - hopefully soon đ Finally unres for prologue.
Dear Nalini,
How do I start, the very description of the monsoons set the tone of the story - dark clouds, watery sunlight and damp coldness aware. A way the weather is so reflective of the moods of the protogonists.
Swara - her mind full of dark clouds as she desperately searches for those elusive answers. She realises and accepts a few truths (like those rays of sunlight that suddenly burst thorough the cover of the clouds) of Ragini being her sister and her mother married to Shekar "uncle" and her now newly discovered Dadi showering love on her. But her mind is still buffeted by the cold winds of doubts and suspicion, replaying the unforgettable memory of Sanskaar shooting at her.
On the other side, we have Sanskaar, drenched in sorrow as his beloved wife remembers him only to be her supposed murdered. Not much of sunshine either, as though they have some quite incriminating photos, he is aware that it is not so easy to convince Swara.
Ragini - is also buffeted by the very cold winds - between concern for Swara and pain at seeing her hatred and anger for Swara. As Sanskaar so rightly said, she is the only one who can force Swara to think, introspect and finally arrive at the truth.
A great start - and I will comment on each chapter separately , please bear with me.
lots of love,
Nyna
PS - loved the title pic - the fading from grey monotones to coloured ones
