SK & AB have the more difficult roles to enact.Shahid as Tommy is of course the central character around who the story and therefore the film revolves. I expect him to give the best performance of his career.This film will either pitch him to the top of the best in BW for this generation or others will step over him ...the race is hotting up as the Khans are aging. He has the looks, the steps, the acting prowess ...want him to prove himself finally to the masses. After JWM his career took a backward curve specially with that magnum opus 'Mausam '

1. The first one (thread title) well as Shahid is the main lead, it's his thunder to be stolen. I doubt Alia will do it. Diljit could do it. Kareena too if her role is significant.

2. Most talked about? Could be either Shahid/Diljit. Alia's accent is a letdown and will stop her from shining. If Kareena has a good few scenes, Udta Punjab can do for her what Bajirao Mastani done for Priyanka Chopra.

Kareena had the lightest character but she underplayed it beautifully. Same with Diljit. Depends on what you like. If you like histrionics, then Shahid and Alia.

If you like underplayed performances, then Diljit and Kareena.

Kareena has the least amount of screen time and underplayed her character beautifully. But it doesnt leave the same impression that Shahid and Alia do
