Arjun Rampal:Take II
After the success of OSO , Arjun feels that his struggle for success has proved to be fruitful. "It has been a long wait. But I am humbled by the success that has come my way. However, I can't rest on these laurels. I am glad that OSO did this for me but everyday is a new beginning and I am not the sort who puts a brake after every success," says Arjun, who was in the city recently.
Talking about OSO , Arjun had some apprehensions before taking up the role. "But Shah Rukh knocked some sense into me. He told me what this role was all about and how important it was for the film. And of course, Farah was an excellent support. She is fun to work with. In fact, working for OSO was like having a party with my closest friends."
And what kind of a friend is King Khan? "He is a great friend, a superb actor and someone one can look up to. Honestly, I am glad that I have a friend like him. He is a great human being," he says.
Does Arjun consider himself an SRK camp regular? "Hello, what are camps? I don't believe in camps. If you are working with a friend, it does not mean that you are part of a camp. In fact, it only helps the film as the chemistry between friends stand out in the film. That works for the audience," explains Arjun.
Arjun's The Last Lear will also have to prove its mettle at BO soon. Currently, he is shooting for EMI, Farhan Akhtar's Rock On – where he plays a rock star and will soon start working on Rituparno Ghosh's next venture. "I am happy with this phase of my life and I am raring to go for more."
