The internet reeks of body shaming. Celebrities and non-celebrities alike fall prey to trolls that are enabled by the anonymity of the web. An instance we heard of this week concerned Neha Dhupia, who is currently on what looks like a perfectly fun, normal beach holiday. And like any other perfectly fun, normal beach vacationer, Neha took to Instagram and posted some gorgeous photographs of her in a bikini, looking happy and relaxed. At least, that's what we saw ... because what the trolls saw was completely different because of their skewed, warped minds. Her comments' section fast filled up with lewd remarks that honestly, made us want to throw up.
But hats off to Neha Dhupia who shut them up with a kickass yet thoroughly classy repartee.
She posted a picture where she wrote back to "them" with a fitting reply. It says, "Hey... It's jus me wearing a#bikini on a beach. That's what most normal people do when they are on a beach ... N yes I took a selfie and am posting it ... Try for once not to be disrespectful, crass and take out your frustration on the wall of a woman you choose to follow. I do have the option of unfollowing you or deleting your comments or of reporting all the weird comments but I don't want to do that. Through this picture all I mean to say is that if you don't have anything respectful to say, you can choose to scroll on. It's a much better use of your time and energy. As for the rest...Thank you for the love, always!"
