"Aap fikar mut kijeeye! Don't worry... We will find Khushi!!" said Arnav but he too was very worried now.

As Arnav and Shashi were about to get in the car, Arnav's phone began ringing. Arnav was relieved to see the name... Khushi. "It's Khushi's call!!" he said and received the call.

"Hello Khushi...!!!" His breathing quickened by the moment, "Where are you? Are you alright?!! And why haven't you returned home yet? Is everything okay?!! Say something damn it!!!" he said impatiently.

"Sir, how can I speak if you don't allow me to?" she laughed. "And why are you panting? I am sorry Sir, I missed your call... I saw your missed calls just now... So I called back! Is anything urgent? And wait a minute, how do you know I haven't reached home yet?" asked Khushi.

Arnav was surprised. How can someone be so calm? She is in danger, isn't she? Maybe she is not...!

Shashi and Garima were looking curiously at Arnav trying to make out everything from his words and expressions.

"Khushi, are you alright?" asked Arnav again.

"How do you know?" she asked with fear. "Can you see me? Are you somewhere around here? But I can't see you...!" she said. Arnav could imagine her looking around for him as she spoke.

Arnav was very confused. What was she saying? But now he knew something was surely wrong.

"Khushi... I am at your home!! But where are YOU? Kya hua hai Khushi? Why are you not home yet?" asked Arnav, worried.

Arnav heard Khushi's trembling voice... "Sir, actually... I left office as usual... And on the way, I... I..." and she stopped when she heard Shashi's voice.

"Where is she? Is she alright?" Shashi asked Arnav. Garima waited for Arnav's reply.

Arnav said to Khushi, "Khushi, speak to your Babuji... He is very..."

"No no!! Please...!! I don't want to speak to him right now!" said Khushi at once.

Arnav didn't understand what had happened. "Khushi, your Amma-Babuji are very worried... Speak to them, they will feel relieved...!" Arnav handed the phone to Shashi.

"Hello beta! Sab theek hai na? Where are you?... Karve road? What are you doing there?... Gaadi band pad gayi? And now your bike is not starting?! I had told you last week to get it serviced, hadn't I?... Lekin sunega kaun? Pata hai hum sab kitne darr gaye thay? Do you have any idea how worried we were?" Shashi's worry was clearly visible through his voice.

Khushi listened to all the scolding and then told Shashi that she wanted to speak to Arnav. Shashi gave the phone to Arnav.

"Haan Khushi..." said Arnav.

"Sir..." and she paused.

Arnav sensed something was wrong. Something that she probably didn't want her parents to know.

"Bolo Khushi... I am listening..." said Arnav trying to soothe her and tell her that he was there.

"Sir... Will you..." she paused again... "Will you please..." and she stopped.

"Khushi... tell me where you exactly are... we will come there at once!" he said.

Khushi told him her exact location and said, "Sir, will you come alone please? Don't bring Amma-Babuji with you... Please Sir...!!"

"But why Khushi?" asked Arnav.

"Sir please! I will tell you when we meet!"

"Okay...! You wait there!! Don't go anywhere till I reach there!! Okay?"

"Okay Sir! Thank you so much!"

"I will be there in ten minutes"

The call ended. Arnav and Shashi told Garima that there was nothing to worry, Khushi was alright and she was late because there was some problem with the bike.

"I will go get her... Don't worry!" said Arnav as he walked towards the car.

"I will also come with you!" said Shashi moving towards the car.

"No!!!" said Arnav instantaneously because Khushi had told him to come alone. Shashi and Garima stared at him in confusion. They couldn't understand this reaction of Arnav. Arnav was searching for reason to tell them. "I mean... uh... Sirf gaadi band padi hai us ki... Her bike is not starting, that's all! There is nothing to worry! She is alright! I will safely bring her home, don't worry! Aap aaraam se yahaan rukiye... I will get her!" he managed to say.

Shashi wasn't sure. He looked at Garima who nodded telling him that she trusted Arnav.

Arnav left.

Shashi and Garima did not fail to notice Arnav's concern for Khushi.

Arnav reached the place and saw Khushi waiting there alongside her bike. He parked the car by the roadside and went towards her. He could see that she was a bit scared. As he went nearer, he noticed that she was bleeding. There were wounds on her arms and her limbs as well. There were some two-three people standing by her side.

"Khushi! What is all this? Yeh sab..." Arnav looked at her in shock.

"Sir... mera accident ho gaya! A guy was driving car rashly and... I don't know what happened... I... A-accident... I don't know how... I just..." Her eyes became wet. She was scared. Her hands were trembling. Arnav held her hands to comfort her.

"Khushi, I am here now! Okay? Tumhein zyada chot toh nahi lagi? Are there any major injuries?" asked Arnav. He saw that Khushi's sleeve was torn off at the shoulder. He quickly covered her with his coat.

"Come, let's go to the hospital...!" said Arnav.

The word "hospital" scared Khushi.

"Nahi!! No need to go to any hospital!! I am fine! Just small bruises here and there... that's all!" said Khushi.

"Theek se chal nahi paa rahi ho... And you say you are fine?! You are limping Khushi!!" scolded Arnav.

"That will be fine Sir! No problem!" said Khushi.

Arnav understood that Khushi was scared.

"Come, let's go home!" said Arnav.

"My bike?" said Khushi.

"Leave your bike here... we will collect it tomorrow! Right now let me take you home! Do you have any idea how worried we all were? How worried your Amma-Babuji were? What if something worse had happened to you?!" said Arnav.

"Thank God I was wearing a helmet... Warna aaj toh I would have been dead!"

"Khushi!!!! What are you saying?!!" scolded Arnav. Khushi was taken aback by that. Arnav too was surprised by his own reaction. He tried to change the topic. "And why don't you want your parents to know about the accident?"

"They worry a lot. And Babuji is a heart patient. He gets very tensed when something happens to me. He had suffered a heart attack last year. Now I don't want anything happen to him. Please don't tell them anything about the accident, please! I will tell them everything after two-three days, I promise!!" said Khushi.

Arnav smiled. "Okay!" he said.

Arnav saw that Khushi's hands were aching and she was having difficulty in opening the car door. He opened the door for her. She got in with the help of Arnav. Arnav got in. He helped her with her seat belt. Arnav looked at her bleeding wounds and her teary eyes. He could make out that the wounds were hurting. He took out the first aid kit and just looked at her. She first hesitated, but then took off the coat that Arnav had put round her shoulders, and folded up her full sleeves of her shirt to uncover the wounds. Arnav gently applied antiseptic on her wounds. Khushi closed her eyes tolerating the burning sensation and the pain. Next Arnav looked at the wounds on her legs. Her blue pants had purple patches at those places which were bleeding. Khushi's heart beats increased as Arnav gazed at her legs. But what Arnav said surprised her.

"You apply this on those wounds yourself. I will get out of the car. Tell me when you are done!!" saying so Arnav got down from the car leaving the first aid box there.

After Khushi was done, she called Arnav and they left for home.

When they reached home, she saw Amma-Babuji and Dadi waiting at the door. She quickly opened the sleeves of shirt to cover her wounds. She covered her upper body with her scarf so that no wound was visible. Both got out of the car. Shashi and Garima tried to talk to her but she avoided them saying, "I will first change and then we will talk, okay!"

Khushi began walking to her room as normally as possible. Shashi, Garima and Dadi stared at her.

"Khushi!! Wait a minute!!" said Garima.

Khushi stopped at her place, her heart pumping louder. She closed her eyes thinking, "Kahi Amma ko pata toh nahi chal gaya? Oh God! Please no!!" Hope Amma doesn't know!

"What are those marks on your pant?" asked Garima.

Khushi missed a beat. She didn't know what to say. She looked at Arnav. He tried to defend her saying, "Oh those!! Actually we tried every way to start her bike... I think those marks are of the engine oil...!!" he said.

"Oh okay okay!" said Garima.

Khushi sighed in relief. "Thank you so much Sir!" she said in her mind nodding at Arnav and hurried to her room.

Lavanya was waiting for Arnav to return. She had bought a new tracksuit to wear during jogging with Arnav from next morning. She was very excited and wanted to tell Arnav that she too would go for jogging with him every morning. She had told everyone by now except Arnav. Why was he taking so much time to come back? Where was he gone? She just sat on the sofa in the hall waiting for Arnav.

"What would you have? Tea, coffee, juice? And what would you like to eat?" asked Garima to Arnav who was waiting for Khushi to come down.

Arnav felt awkward at them calling him "aap" and "Sir". He said, "Aap please mujhe 'aap' aur 'Sir' mut kahiye... Ajeeb lagta hai...! I am like your son. Call me 'Arnav'... aur please 'aap' mut kahiye... 'tum' kahiye... I would be glad and honestly more comfortable with that!"

Others smiled and agreed.

"Actually, I wanted to talk to Khushi... alone!" said Arnav. Others exchanged glances and were shocked. "I know Khushi must have already told you everything that day... but still I won't be comfortable speaking about it in front of you all..."

They remembered Khushi had come late that day and had not told them anything saying that she had promised Arnav that she would not disclose anything to anyone. Garima told it to Arnav. That was unexpected for him.

"What? She didn't tell you anything?!" he was surprised.

Just then Khushi came down. She looked better now.

"Khushi, you didn't tell them anything about Maa?" asked Arnav. Khushi nodded in "no". Arnav turned to others and said, "Please don't mind my talking to Khushi alone... And don't worry, Khushi will tell you everything later, okay Khushi?"

Khushi nodded.

Arnav and Khushi walked out and stood near the car.

"How are you now?" asked Arnav.

"Better!" said Khushi with a smile. "Tell me!! What happened? Did you speak to your Maa? Did you show her your room? Was she happy? What did she say? Oh I am so excited to know!"

Arnav told Khushi everything in detail. Arnav's eyes watered as he narrated everything. Khushi's watered too.

"Are you happy now?" asked Khushi.

"Oh yes I am!! I feel so relieved now! Maa was very happy, Khushi... I am surely happy for myself, but I am more happy for her!" he said. Khushi smiled. "Thank you Khushi!! Thank you so much!!"

Arnav came home to see Lavanya waiting there for him.

"Arnav, I am coming with you for jogging from tomorrow!!" she declared in excitement.

"Okay!" said Arnav, "But I want you ready at 5:30 sharp!! I won't wait for you!!" and he went to his room without waiting for Lavanya's reply.

Next day, Arnav came down ready to go for a jog and was surprised to see Lavanya sitting there on the sofa in her new track-suit, yawning.

"Arey waah!! You are ready before time?!!" said Arnav.

"Woh kya hai na Arnav, I didn't want to be late... So I wore the track suit at night itself and slept here on the sofa!!"

"What?!!" exclaimed Arnav. He controlled his laughter with great difficulty. "This girl is crazy!!" he thought.

They both went for a jog.

Arnav reached office. He wanted to pick Khushi up, but Khushi said she would come with Shyam. So Arnav's mood was already off. He was sitting in his cabin when he suddenly remembered the incidents that had happened with Khushi in the office. "Sonali!! I will see what she has to say now!! I will see who saves her!" thought Arnav. He told his PA, Roma, to call Sonali to his cabin at once. He also called Aman.

Arnav interrogated Sonali. She agreed that she had told the peon to leave the file sent by Arnav on Khushi's desk. But she had not taken the file. She left the place after some time and that's when she had last seen the file. She said that she had not done anything.

Arnav told her to leave the cabin at the moment, till he confirmed what she said was right. Arnav ordered for the CCTV footage of the camera outside Khushi's cabin of that day, and also the CCTV footage of the camera near the hall where Khushi was trapped during her first project.

Arnav and Aman checked the footage and they were shocked to know who it was behind all that happened with Khushi.

"What the!! Yeh hai iss sab ke peechhe?!!!" exclaimed Arnav as they both stared at the face on the screen. So this is the person behind all this?!!
