To give Ash her due, she has never played a flower pot or lesser satellite revolving on the periphery of a big hero movie to provide glam quotient. Her roles were always substantial.

No matter what the opinions on her acting, she has been CHOSEN (she didn't chase after and move heaven or earth) to star in Non pot boilers Chokher Bali, Raincoat, Guru, Raavan.

And then of course, if one marries a working HERO and ALSO ACTS, then it's logical, you are in the limelight merely by dint of accompanying them and yr own promotionals, dressed in finery to various events.

By that measure, I would put Diya Mirza, no films, not married to a celeb, produces a film once in a while, but still everyone knows her. Quite a feat.
