Well written..this is a child who is been abandoned again and again, seemingly by every single authority figure from whom she wud expect security..her birth mother, her adoptive mother and her father..she was all of 8 years when she was exchanged for another baby, that of her adoptive mother's own flesh and blood..how exactly is she supposed to react? I fail to understand the lack of empathy for her.. Will share a real life case who had come for treatment a month ago..this was a 13 yr old boy brought by his father for behavioural problems and (every single parents favourite complaint) not studying.. father tells me, his birth mother left when the child was 2.5 years old and never even met the child after that..the child was mainly brought up by his paternal uncle and aunt..then, 3 years back his uncle gets married and stops spending time with him..now his only parental figures are his aunt and his father..he is very happy with his aunt and at his aunt's place..father starts spending time with and "aunty" who the kid does not like.. then one fine day, he sees a photo on his aunt's fone of his father and the aunty in festive clothes..aunt tells him his father got married..this child was not even given the courtesy to be told that his father has remarried..do I blame the child for anger outbursts towards the step mother? Do i blame him for feeling unwanted? Does the father not have the responsibility to tell the child what changes are being made?

Coming back to the show..was ruhi told, either of the swapping times, what exactly was happening? Is the memory of her ishima leaving her hand not etched in her brain for years to come? Did either of her parents care to let her know she was not being exchanged? Was she not let down yet again? Blaming a child is the easiest thing for adults..but turn back and ask the adults one question -- did u sit with your child and talk to them about what is hurting them? U will get blank stares and surprised faces like I do daily in my practice.. fans blame whoever causes any hurt to their favourite character..but let's not lose our empathy for real life people In similar positions..

I have nothing to add here. A big, big thank you for sharing that story, maybe it will bring forth some more sensitivity here 😳

Take the new OLV , it is about Ishita doing Jagat Mata self, glorification of that character but again the central focus that should be on Ruhi , isn't. It needs less of histrionics and more of sensitivity which is why Ruhi's abuse has become a joke.

P.S . I do enjoy Nidhi getting beaten up but if I think deeper it's again bad for that kid because she might recall her times..violence infront of kids can do long lasting damage.

For me it's the makers who have utterly disrespected the victim here, fans or the audience reaction is by-product of their insensitivity.

@red - I rest my case then 😳 And we can agree to disagree here 😊

Just one word...Fabulous

I completely understand where are you coming from...having been through hell for years despite having loving parents and extended family she is bound to retaliate which doesn't mean she is a sick wicked vamp period !

When a woman in late 30's can run away leaving a neonatal least bothering the repercussions Ruhi is barely a teenager. Thank god she acted the way she is...lest it would have been oddly forced. Ruhi is broken from inside, it takes lot of time, love, care, and protection to make her whole being.

Coming to the pain of her parents...For Ruhi their crying doesn't reduce her suffering one bit nor will give back her lost years. For her, she is the one wronged and they are her culprits who failed to protect her in first place. Onus is on them to make her feel loved, wanted, protected and cherished
