But I disagree with your point of Ishita getting the authority of being Pihu's mother. The reason why Ishita left is irrelevant, the fact remains that Shagun has brought up Pihu as her daughter for 7 long years and it's inhuman for you to come and claim the child now.

Ishita loved Ruhi for a day with whole heart and we all started stating that Ishita is real mother of Ruhi and the same applies to Adi who was raised by Ishita for less than a year. Then the same reason applies here with Shagun as Pihu had her first brush of motherhood through Shagun so she should be her mother and not Ishita.
