Zoya, if I may, as usual beautiful sentiments and beautifully written.
I only have only question though. Raman has also referred to Ishita as Pihu's "asli am", in self-talk though, in the car ride home when Pihu mentioned she enjoyed hugging the haar-walli auntie. I understand being Ishima has a deeper meaning but had Raman referred to Ishita as Pihu's Ishima in his self talk people would have been in arms over that as well. Although I feel CVs are ultimately going to make Pihu call Ishita Ishima anyway. 😕 So does "asli ma" in this self talk Also have an empty meaning?

Or perhaps since Raman has already inwardly acknowledged Ishita as Pihu's asli ma, and that was the point of the car ride scene, this outward proclamation is not how he truly feels? But just more words to hurt Ishita because she does not know how her really feels.

That is true. Raman does do that. But it I think only refers to the fact they share the same genetics. In fact it only gives heed more to what I think. With pihu, there is no denying they are related. But the crux of the 'asli ma' reiterates blood ties. Ishita is a mother. Through and through. This genetic link actually doesn't mean much considering she is Adi and ruhi's mother too. It can be there. It doesn't have to be though. Her connection isn't dependent on that, it just adds to it I think. Mother and child are bonded when they are related yes, and maybe 'asli ma' connotes that, but the point is the meaning of the tag is essentially reduced when it concerns Ishita. Her love isn't dependant on it.
