Yeah! Even I don't want this new person to be a comical one.He should actually be a good match for Sona. An equal to Dev. Only then will he realize his existing feelings, if there are any, towards her. Just like Ntasha is supposedly a perfect match for Dev, I want this guy to be a perfect match to Sona. Also, I want him to be a Bengali. The bonding would be more. And it'll be easier to irritate Dev. 😆

I really hope it is not some fake bf thing. If it is, then I want him to be a really headstrong person. Similar to Dev, but a happy-go-lucky one..

hey good post, nice to see some discussions going on. I would have preferred a separation track like Sona moves to new job rather than a love quadrangle.

I guess Natasha's character was introduced -

- to depict Sonakshi's emotions, jealously and heartbreak and to stop her confession
- to highlight that Dev has no love like feelings for Sonakshi and being a businessman, he can even consider marrying for a business deal. So his dilemma about his own personal life, love and marriage where Sonaksh would help him figure out his feelings
- And finally to show Ishwari's uneasiness with Dev's marriage - why she doesn't want Dev to get married ever, so it would not be just about Sona but with any other girl too
- And obviously to extend the love realization phase, if both of them confess so quickly then how the story would progress.

They wanted to show Natasha as a more suitable alliance for Dev and still Dev will fall for Sonakshi. But till now Natasha looks very fake and dull. Her dialogues and actions doesn't match with top 10 business woman of country image. She looks too desperate to get married to Dev. And none of Natasha's emotions are shown - how she feels about Dev taking so long for accepting the proposal. We don't really know what she feels, so its difficult to connect with her character.

Since Natasha has been so unimpressive, I am hoping that new guy would bring some much needed pace to the show. Initially even I didn't like so many love angles, but if they sketch this new guy character as anti-Dev, like successful and smart yet fun and loving guy, then it would be good. Natasha is seriously no competition for Sonakshi. if taking his family out for shopping is Nat's achievement, then Sonakshi has done far more important things for his family.

phew too long 😉

From what i am getting here is then that Natasha was basically introduced to prolong this pre-love story track...fair enough, but it would have been prolonged anyway considering Dev's oblivion in regards to Sona's feelings. I just feel that more people equals to more chances of sloppy tracks and confusion. Hopefully I am proved wrong.

And as far as showing that Dev has more suitable alliances than Sona, we could have already guessed that much considering he is a rich ambitious businessman. Even at that event he went to where that mother was trying to set her daughter up with him 😆

Yeah, I wouldn't disagree with the fact that Sona has a better bonding with his family, especially given she spends way more time with them and has known them for longer and on a different level 😊
