"Sanyukta, you remember the last time you said I LOVE YOU", Rd asked Sanyukta with an eyebrow raised.
Sanyukta didn't answer. She was busy in her machine. It was still not working. God only knows why. They were in the lab for more than an hour now working on this machine but this stupid machine was still not starting. A piece of crap it is.
"Rd, it is still not working. Do something no...", She pleaded Rd.
Rd was totally pissed off by her answer. Here, he was talking about "THEM" and she was still busy on the bloody machine. Damn it.
"Sanyukta, I asked you something," he asked, suppressing his irritation.
"Later on. Now, my only focus is this machine," Sanyu replied coolly, totally unaware of Rd's brewing anger, her eyes still fixed on the machine.
Randhir steamed at her answer. He caught her by her waist and pulled her close, thrashing her against him and crashed his lips on hers...
"Whoa...what was that for?" Sanyukta finally asked as she gained back her composure.
"For ignoring your handsome boyfriend", came Rd's reply.
"When did I ignore you, MCP?" She fought back.
"I asked you a question..."
"Woh...I...I didn't hear you..." said a defiant Sanyukta.
"Stop fooling me, Aggarwal and answer the question..." Rd demanded Sanyukta.
"I...I don't know..." She replied meekly.
"Oh, c'mon FARZI, accept that even though we are together for more than a year now but you haven't said an I LOVE YOU for once also. But I say it every night before bidding you good night..."
Sanyukta blushed thinking how every night they met at the college ground and Rd kissed her a goodnight kiss before saying her GOODNIGHT.
"Stop blushing now..." Rd smirked at her.
"Excuse me. I'm not blushing,'' she lied.
"Fine, ok? Now stop diverting the topic and answer the question...," Rd pointed out.
"All right. I accept that I've not said I LOVE YOU but you know how much I love you right? So ?" Sanyukta looked into his dark orbs, filled with love for her.
"Tell me once...", he pleaded.
"Stop it Randhir. What is there in three words? They can never show you the love I have in my heart for you. Everyone just say it like a maniac", replied Sanyu.
"But I want to hear them from you just for once...", Rd egged on.
"Fine. I'll tell you, promise...umm...next Sunday...".
"What? Say it now farzi..."
"Rd, just one week more and haven't you read patience bears juicy fruit?" she smiled.
"But..."
"No buts, now. Let's go now and I'll see this machine later on."
She caught his arm and dragged Rd out of the lab, who was totally confused about this one week thing. Why did she need a week time to say I LOVE YOU? She could have told it then only, isn't it? But Sanyu had different plans in her mind. She wanted to make that day memorable for both of them for forever.
NEXT SUNDAY < 5: 30 PM >
Sanyukta stood in front of her dorm's mirror with a smiling Kausuki at her side. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and smiled. Kaustuki was right. She indeed was looking pretty. Dressed in a black salwar suit, which had silver borders, she was looking gorgeous. She had worn silver earrings. Her hair was open , falling on her shoulders which was making her look elegant. With no make-up on, she sill looked adorable. She wanted to look best today but naturally.
"Rd is gonna be dead today, I bet...", teased Kaustuki.
Sanyu blushed.
"Ok, now call him...", reminded Kaustu.
Sanyu picked up her cell from the bed and dialed his number.
"Oh, God ! Finally ! I'm waiting for your call since morning. Where are you? All ok ? No calls, no messages. What's up? I met Kaustuki and she told me to wait till evening to meet you. Now say something...", Rd's voice came from the other side as he picked the call.
"Will you let me say? I have a surprise for you. Meet me at the college gate within 15 mins. With your bike and plz wear something in white. You look best in white..."
"What? But why? Are we going anywhere ?"
"Yes."
"Where?"
"Surprise."
"Fine but have you forgotten your promise? That I LOVE YOU' one?"
"Will you even let me forget?"
"So?"
" Come fast."
And she ended the call and she blushed.
"Coming...", she muttered.
"Good...", replied Kaustuki.
AT COLLEGE GATE < 6:45 PM >
Rd was leaning on his bike, fidgeting with his phone and was at times looking towards the campus to see if his Sanyukta was at sight. But no, she is nowhere to be seen.
"This girl is too much God. Tellling me to come within 15 mins., now she is nowhere at sight. Wowww...", commened Rd sarcastically, looking at the campus for the umpteenth time.
He then again concentrated on his phone,
"Oh ! I've to beat my old record now. This game is just sucking me. I'll better make a new record...", Rd murmured to himself, his eyes fixed on his phone.
But Sanyu's voice made him look up.
"What new record?"
Rd looked up and was mesmerized. She was looking so pretty, like any angel, thought Rd.
Sanyukta came to him and smiled at him.
"What new record?" She snapped her fingers bringing him out of his state of lost.
"Huh?"
"Arey, what new record?" she asked for the third time.
At first Rd was totally confused. Record? What record? And then he realized what she had been asking about.
"Oh, shit ! And he looked at his phone but he had already lost, forget about making new record.
"What happened?" asked Sanyukta and she peered at his phone and saw what had happened. He had lost his favorite game. She burst into laughter.
" I lost because of you. Who told you to look so beautiful, Sanyu?" complained Rd and made a puppy face.
"Because I had to match your standards, you know," she teased.
"Ok, now tell me where are we going and why?" smiled Rd.
"Surprise dear. Now the only thing you need to know is that our destination is BLUE VIEW PALACE' (a restaurant guys...) . Let's go...," she replied.
"OK, jaan. As you say."
He started his bike. Sanyu climbed to her usual seat and held him tightly around his abs. Her chin rested on his shoulder and she whispered...
"Let's fly, Rd..."
And the bike sped off at a speed...( guess it guys...)
PART- 2

The bike stopped infront of the " Blue View Palace" restaurant.
Sanyukta got off the bike and smiled. She was near her destination.
"Let's go inside", she said in an excited tone.
"I'm not getting anything. Why are we here? Where is my surprise? And most important when will u say I...", he was cut off in the middle only.
"Take a breath sweetheart and all ur questions will be answered inside. So now let's go...", smiled Sanyukta.
Yes. She had managed to hide the fact, all through the ride despite his thousand and one questions, that she had arranged a special date for them in the restaurant where she would tell him the most awaited words- I LOVE YOU RANDHIR ALWAYS AND FOREVER.
"Ok, Ma'am. But let me first park this bike. U go. I'm coming," replied Randhir.
"No way that I'm going inside alone. U go nd park the bike. I'm waiting here only for u", Sanyu stated.
"Fine, as your wish, darling...", he winked at her and kick-started his bike.
"Jaldi ana...I'm waiting...", she smiled.
Randhir also smiled back and rode off to park his bike on the opposite side of the road in the parking lot.
After a few minutes, Sanyukta saw him coming back. He was crossing the road but the road was so busy that he was not being able to cross the road. He was again and again looking at both sides. Luckily, there was a red light and he hurriedly began to cross the road.
He was at the middle of the road when suddenly he heard Sanyukta shouting.
He stopped there only in amazement as he heard what she was shouting. He looked up and saw a smiling Sanyukta beaming at him from the opposite side of the road.
She was shouting...
" I LOVE..."
CRASH !!!!!!!!!
A truck recklessly ran across the road breaking the traffic.
A young figure was flung in the air and the truck ruthlessly ran over it.
A large crowd gathered around the figure which was now lying in a pool of blood. The whole road got jammed.
There Sanyukta was rendered speechless. She was here trying to surprise Randhir but what's happening? Did just an accident took place? That also infront of her eyes? She was way too shocked to register everything happening around her.
But suddenly something struck her. And her legs started to weaken.
Where is Randhir?
He was crossing the road, isn't it?
That means.
No, its impossible.
Nah.
"Nooo...Randhir...r...r...", she screamed.
Sanyukta breathlessly ran towards the fallen figure. She dashed into the crowd and came near the figure.
Her soul left her as she saw the face which was smashed but she could recognize this face with blind eyes also.
As realization struck her, her legs trembled and she collapsed on the road.
Everything blacked out.
Whispers ran through the crowd...
"Tch...Tch...It was a total hit and run case..."
A girl was standing on a cliff which had gone deep into an abyss. Her eyes were fixed on the setting sun over the horizon. Her eyes were swollen, red, maybe bcuz she cried a lot. Her face was pale, emotionless, as if she was dead and just holding on her body like an apparel.
Yes, she was Sanyukta. Sanyukta Aggarwal.
"You left me. But why? Why did u leave me? Why...y...y...?" she screamed to someone, who could no more hear her voice, for he was already gone, leaving her alone.
Fresh tears trailed down her cheeks. Her legs trembled and she fell on her knees, crying miserably. Her head hung low.
But soon she wiped her eyes and looked into the sky, as if trying to find the face, which she knew she couldn't touch anymore, couldn't feel anymore, couldn't see anymore, for he was gone, leaving her all alone.
"You left me bcuz I didn't say I LOVE U? But why? U knew the truth. Didn't you?" She was shivering. She was not being able to handle this pain any longer.
" I was going to surprise you, Rd but you went away even before seeing it once, hearing me once. Why...why...y..?" She shouted but no one was there to hear her and the one she wanted to tell was gone much before.
"She was shaken, startled, terrified. Hours ago, she was with the love of her life and now with a blink of her eyes, everything shattered. Her whole world crashed down even before she could realize. Why such cruelty God? Why is destiny so ruthless?
" I was standing there only, Randhir. Everything happened before my eyes and I...I couldn't do anything, Rd. I failed. I failed to save u...I falied...", she covered her face and cried, cried till there was no tears left.
"I stood there numb and everything finished. I lost u, Randhir. I lost you...", she sobbed but no tears fell. Her eyes were dry now.
"My everything burnt into ashes, Randhir and all happened in a bat of eye. In a flash, everything got blurred," she went on.
"You were...were...spot dead, Randhir...r...,"she broke down again.
""How...h...how could God do this to us, Randhir? He snatched you away from me. Why?" She demanded answers, maybe from the divine to reason with her fate. But fate is always unpredictable, ruthless and too cruel to imagine.
"But I'll not let destiny win. Love has to win. Our love has to win and I'll make it the winner."
She rubbed her eyes, wiped her tears and stood up with trembling legs, badly trying to balance her shaking body on them.
""My life without you? No way, sweetheart. I'm yours. If there is no rank 1, what will rank 2 do being there?"
She spread her arms, inhaled some fresh air, maybe taking her last breath, may be enjoying the last bliss of this beautiful world, maybe living her life for the last time.
"I'm coming to you Randhir. And I want to scream a few words to let this world hear..." and she smiled and stood on her toes and bent over the abyss and let herself fly.
A few words echoed in the air as her figure flew without wings...
" I LOVE YOU RANDHIR ALWAYS AND FOREVER..."
