What should I do now?

It was another morning for me and exactly as every day, I had no clue where she was so early in the morning. I went into the kitchen and started making coffee for myself when I saw her entering the house; I mumbled a good morning to her standing in the kitchen, as this was the only word of our conversation. She walked towards me and asked if I needed any help, but I denied. Her body was dripping wet due to her early morning heavy fitness regime. I don't know what people get from disturbing their sleep early in the morning. Crazy people, crazy regimes! I was quite lucky enough to have a well toned body without all these, but yeah! Hitting the gym at least an hour a day, was necessary for me and except that, All that matters to me is my sleep and my daily dose of four to five cups of caffeine; I had asked her if she would want me to make a cup of coffee for her, to which she replied that she takes just a cup in the evening and not more than that and that she would manage it herself, I just passed on a smile to her as nothing came in my mind for a reply when I saw an awkwardness on her face, I asked her if she wanted to tell me something, and yes! She wanted to! She told me that she had got an internship with a leading company and she had to join today itself, I was really happy as this would give her, her freedom and she deserved it very well, she had striven for it, I know this single thing about her very clearly since I had known her! And before I could tell or ask anything else, she walked away from there and I sighed in helplessness due to the wall in between us, our relationship is complicated, neither are we strangers, nor lovers, or at least friends, we were just tied up with a relation a month ago, which doesn't even matter for us right now, but we respect each other, surely. Let's see what the destiny seeks for us.

I got ready and left for my office after informing her; I thought I should have asked her if she wanted my help, as she was new to Delhi and it's only because of me that she came all the way from Mumbai to Delhi and what kind of an irritating person I am, but as I reached almost my office in this heavy traffic day, I feared going back. I could never prove myself to be a responsible person in front of her, but I can be! Still. I took out my phone from my pocket as I reached my office, and messaged her "all the best" as this was the only thing I could do at this point of time and she replied a thanks.

I walked into my cabin and sat down stretching myself in my seat, when my phone rang and I looked at my phone in disgust. This woman again!!? What the hell does she want from me now? It was Diya, the bitching vamp of our office, whom I hated the most but she loved sticking to me, as I picked the call, she was like coochi-cooeing me, but when I asked her what the matter was, she told me that she was on an emergency leave and I have to now coordinate with the new interns for a day or two. I hanged the call out of frustration and a peon came in and gave me the file of the interns but I never bothered looking into it, I called at the reception and told Tina to send the interns in. As they came in, they started looking at me weirdly as if I am an entertaining page of a magazine; I kept gazing at each of those faces in order to understand their expressions, and two of them were missing on the first day itself. A guy coolly came in, there was no mark of worry on his face; he just came and stood beside the other interns, so I assumed him to be one of them, and still one was left, I kept hitting my nail on my desk in a freaked out anticipation, I told the peon to get me a coffee and he brought it for me in just a matter of a few minutes as he knew it was my daily routine, I took the first sip of it and what I saw immediately made me throw it out due to shock, a girl came running into my cabin, panting badly and stood in front of me, scaring me out of my wits, and it was none other than wifey. I was confused at this, and all that escaped my mouth was,

Nisha...tum yahan..?"Out of shock.

I could notice that surprised look on her face and understood that she never knew about this. I smiled and was about to say something when the peon again came in and told me that the boss was calling me, I walked out of my cabin when my phone beeped, I took it out and read the message, it was from wifey,

Don't tell anyone anything about me...please!"Read the message.

I knew that she wanted some time before we could disclose our relationship, as even we were baffled by the relation between us. I went back into my cabin after meeting up my boss and couldn't help but get irritated when I saw one of those interns trying to flirt with her; I assigned all the five interns their jobs and sat back in my seat wondering about the sudden changes in my life after they left. I messaged her,

Do tell me, if you need any help!" to which no reply came, she was busy, I guess.

The day ended with both of us behaving like strangers, I wanted to ask her if she needs a lift, but she had already left without informing and later I came home alone and saw her sleeping peacefully, she looked tired and maybe I had burdened a lot of work on her on the very first day. I made some light dinner for both of us and woke her up, we had the dinner together and she retired to sleep when I sat down with my laptop to complete my work. A weird day it was, a lot of change in our lives, now she'll be working in my own office, maybe this brings in a change between us."

Sweet she is, not weird!"
