As per options, its Aishwarya and then Priyanka.

Don't be fooled. There were tonnes of camera tricks in those days.
It was SO much easier to get away with bad skin because make-up and fading/contouring in B+W is easier to achieve.
And are you kidding me about plastic surgery? It's CENTURIES old. And was definitely the norm back then,.
Nostalgia is a very funny thing.

Yeah. In the old days of black and white they would use grey paint to blot out blemishes.

You're right about makeup. But was cosmetic surgery prevalent in BW in those days?

I was under the impression you have to go west ( U.S/ U.K ) for cosmetic surgeries in those days
I heard when Sridevi had her first nosejob in the early 80s she visited USA for that

And the usage of Botox and Fillers for wrinkles have become common only recently even in the West

Nowadays it has become so common even Indian TV actors are not seen without them 😊

From Wikipedia:

Rhinoplasty techniques were carried out in ancient India by the ayurvedic physician Sushruta (c. 800 BC)

I would strongly suggest picking up some old film magazines - you will get a GREAT insight of what it was like back then.

I used to think the same as you guys. That everything was so clean and pristine "back in the day". All the stars were virgins, holy and pious etc But NO.

The Nutans, Madhubalas and Meena Kumaris were all accused of having enhancements done.
Although I agree it is far more prevalent now.
Or maybe it's just because it's harder to keep it secret.
