Sarla was in a daze. Too many things were happening at once. She shook her head to clear it. Then,decisively she looked at Amit. Kappu's heart sank. He was just turning away when he heard her say 'Amit,u go on along. I can't come with u. Sorry,but that's what it is. See u later.' Stunned,kappu turned around. Amit had already left after the not so subtle insult meted to him by Sarla. Sarla gave him a dazzling smile,and walking up to him,hooked her arm thru his. He was still wearing a shocked expression when she pinched his arm and said 'Ab chale? Ki mujhe idhar hi khade rakhne ka irada hai? I'm waiting for that bike ride!' Kappu snapped out of his trance and grinned at her:-a real,happy,boyish grin. 'Ha,chalo.' He said. Together,arm in arm,they walked to where the bike was. On the way,they had to endure teasing grins from the society members,which made both of them groan. Finally they reached the bike. Kappu got on and started it,motioning for Sarla to get on behind him. She climbed aboard and made herself comfortable. However,she felt odd about where to place her hands. His shoulders? Waist? Or hold on to the bike bars? Kappu sensed her feelings and laughed. 'Make urself comfortable babes. I don't mind how u hold me.' He said in his flirty tone. She laughed along and the tension dissolved. She politely held on to his shoulders. He kickstarted the bike and they hit the road.
When they reached the main road,however,due to some construction work there were quite a few potholes there. Each time they went over those holes,the bike jumped,due to which Sarla had to tighten her hold on Kappu. Before long,she had her arms wrapped across his abs,holding on for dear life. Fine,they managed to steer clear of those holes and ride on across a smooth road. Still,she did not release her hold on him. She didn't want to. He didn't mind,either. Having her cling to him like that was a heavenly feeling. He didn't ever want it to end. Sighing contentedly,he said 'Can I ask u something?' 'Mmm..what?' She murmured. He chuckled. 'Why did u choose me? Why not Amit?' He asked. 'Why? R u regretting offering me a ride now?' She teased him. 'No,never. I was just curious.' He said. She smiled and said 'It wasn't really a choice. I'd choose u anywhere,anytime, and eveytime. By default. Always.' Suddenly she wondered if she blurted out a bit too much. But he let out a sigh of happiness and relief &she was reassured. Taking 1 of her hands,he pressed a quick kiss onto her the back of her palm which made her shiver in anticipation. He then lightly dropped it and she moved it back to its original position. 'Thank u baby.' He said softly,and she blushed beet red. 'U r welcome' she replied,and they continued the rest of the journey in comfortable silence,a silence which had a tinge of desire and passion added to it.
Suddenly, the bike skidded to a halt in the middle of the road. Sarla and Kappu both were surprised. 'What happened?' She asked him. 'I don't know. Let me check.' He said. He checked it and said 'Looks like the tyre has no air left.' She groaned. 'Do u hv a spare?' She asked. 'Actually,this is the spare..I'm sorry I will call the nearest garage and hv them bring a tyre here.' He said and proceeded to call on his mobile. Sarla couldn't help smiling a bit. Typical Kappu,careless and lazy. He had not bothered to keep a spare. He finished his call and looked at her. 'U r smiling? U r not mad? We might be more late..' He said. 'No,I don't mind. As long as I'm with YOU. You can make even a night in a jail pleasant. Besides,the party continues till late night. So we will hv plenty of time.' She told him with another smile. He grinned back at her. 'I like girls who r not whiny and r cool bout everything.' He told her. 'Oh,really?' She asked,raising her eyebrow. 'Really." He replied,hooking his arms around her waist. She gasped. 'Ye tum kya..chodo mujhe koi aa jayega..' 'This is a deserted road sweetheart..no one comes here. Only we both r here.' He said raising his eyebrows and giving her a evil grin. She blushed. 'Kappu.. I don't think..' Her words ended on a moan as he pressed his lips on hers. Groaning,she put her arms on his chest,pulling him closer. He growled and tightened his hold on her waist,pressing their bodies together into one. Thoroughly,passionately and expertly he tasted her lips. When his tongue brushed against her lower lip,seeking entry,she moaned and opened her mouth. Their tongues collided,and they continued kissing,exploring the exotic taste of each other while their hands explored their respective skins. Slowly,he pulled back,making sure his lips lingered on hers as long as humanly possible till they both absolutely HAD to breathe.
When he let her go,they both gasped for breath,still hugging each other. 'Wow..that was something.. Bhare pade the kya?' Sarla asked with a naughty smile. He laughed heartily. 'Ha,jabse aaya hu yaha aur khas kar jab se tumhe is roop mei dekha hai.' He retorted. 'To Abhi continue kare...? He said cheekily and was about to take possession of her lips again when they heard a voice behind them ' Umm..bhaisaab..Aapko tyre change karana tha na..' Kappu let out a string of curse words,not happy at being interrupted while Sarla burst into peals of laughter. They pulled away from each other and Kappu said to the garage boy ' Ha chal aa..Abhi hi aana tha Tujhe..Sara maza kirkira kar diya..' Muttering so,he took the boy to get the bike fixed. The boy got to work and they both waited. They still had a party to reach...and an unfinished business to explore.
