Not Arjuna, but Draupadi

Whose insult brought about the war of Mahabharata?
Arjun just fired the arrows but the fury was Draupadi's.
The revenge was Draupadi's.
Why am I writing this here?
Well, people consider that Goddess Parvati in her Kali avatar came down as Draupadi.
It was the war not just of good vs bad but ALSO to avenge her apmaan and get back her respect from the eyes of those that stood and watched her being perceptually disrobed and being called names.
Manjhi Maa is Krishna, but Kali is Draupadi.
Who is being deprived of her right to be called her Yug's wife.
She has always been called names, especially Kaala Teeka.
Draupadi has always been against injustice. She has always voiced the fact that the Pandavas are under no obligation to consent to the Kauravas and agree to everything they say as Yudishtira is the rightful King. In the rajsabha where Dushashan drags her onto, she questions everyone how she can be considered anyone's jaagir (property) ie. the same way Kali has started to maintain she is noone's jaagir and is doing what she has to do. Think about it. Subjective.

Wow! I can't say much because I don't really know a lot about your religion but this is a great post! Hate to see Kali being denied of her own rights as Yug's wife. It's disgusting how Gauri can even live with the fact that she's not even Yug's wife and she's being all close with him'And dadi is religious and superstitious how is she in on this (#thelogic) But I like how Kali is fighting now!

Basically, its a long story but let me just give you the essentials that I am using in my analysis. Draupadi is a character from the Mahabharat. She was born out of fire hence she is also referred to as Yagyaseni. She was the wife of the five Pandavas, and in an unfair game of chess, she was lost as if she were not a person but the property of her eldest husband. When she was insulted by the Kauravas as a dasi (slave) and called a prostitute for having 5 husbands, she questioned society. This one game determined how women are mistreated whether they are slaves or queens. Dushasan who is her brother in law attempts to disrobe her as an aadesh from his brother. Krishna saves her with his divine intervention but now the fate of the Kauravas is sealed and they have to face death and destruction for their crimes. This was the last straw.

The religious references in the show are all over the place. The setting is supposed to be Mithila and Kali supposedly Sita as they found her in mud or something.
However, names are shivji related - Gauri is another name for Parvati and so is Kaali. They are different avatars of the same godess. Yug means time or Kaal (time). Kaal is another name for Shivji. Considering this -- technically -- They are both his wives and that is how we may end up on the show.

I can see you comparison between Kali and Draupadi but I would still say Kali is more akin to Arjun than Draupadi
- Arjun/pandavas were denied right to the throne/place in the royal household since childhood. They had to face the injustice from their pseudo father, Dhristrashtra, all their life as he always favored his own son
- Kali is fighting her own battle like Arjun did
- Kali is fighting against her sister/family as Arjun fought against his brothers
- Kali may be fighting but she is not full of hate. She is level headed and has doubts about what is right or wrong just like Arjun's state of mind. Draupadi was too full of hate and vengeance to even consider that a war may be wrong.

I love Mahabharata. It is my favorite book of all times. 😆

Okay. Makes sense. I based this off my understanding of whats happening and in the sense that the woman is getting insulted and questioning actions. But your explanation is more apt 👏👏👏

I love Mahabharat too.
Open to interpretation.
And all are tragic heroes.

Everyone is tragic and all females are extraordinary. Not a single person is white or black. everyone has shades and their own motivations for their action. Even Duryodhan can be fully justified if you look from his perspective. It is a very interesting study on what is a person's dharma.

Sorry I can go off the deep-end when I start discussing Mahabharat and Dharma. 😆

Symbolism wise, I think she is more Draupadi than Arjun. Draupadi felt helpless when she saw the result of the war, Arjun fought it, but it was actually for the sake of Draupadi.

Thanks Shibu 😳

I agree with @Katori that she can be Arjun, but he was more strongwilled from the beginning while Draupadi rose when the occasion came just like Kali did.
