Ishita is alive.
Ishita Bhalla is alive.
Ishita Raman Bhalla is alive.
My wife, Ishita Raman Bhalla is alive.

Shocked, happy, ecstatic, angry, relieved, alive. She's alive. It means I'm alive. I'm not seeing things am I? Have I finally gone crazy?

These must be all the inner workings of our beloved hero. The love of his life, the one he has constantly pined for these seven years. I saw bits and pieces of the episode and this is what I saw written all over Raman's face.

Raman Kumar Bhalla was a broken man. Until a certain Ishita Iyer walked into his life. She resurrected him. Everyone saw the unraveling of the angry young man. Suddenly he wasn't so angry anymore. Suddenly he didn't keep his family at arms length. Suddenly, Ruhi wasn't a painful reminder of his past, rather she was his wife's shadow. Then came Adi, and the transformation from Raman's spiteful son to Ishita's stooge in training. Life revolved around one person, Ishita Raman Bhalla.

And then the world came crashing down. Ishita wasn't in the world anymore. And Raman couldn't be Raman without his wife. As insecure as they are, and as clueless about the depth of the others love for each other, Raman and Ishita became part of each other. So when Ishita left his world, Raman essentially died too. And so walls Ishita broke down came back up a thousand times stronger. No one else is worthy of resurrecting the man he is with Ishita by his side. This right belongs to only one. His Ishita.

And so Ishita waltzed back into his life today. And we saw Raman smile. And we saw this while he was sober. The minute he sees her, we see a small glimmer of Ishita's Raman. She's alive, so now he's alive.

And then, as we dreaded, he sees mani. The mani that encapsulates everything that defines the perfect partner, on paper for Ishita. Mani would have been the perfect choice had Raman not walked into Ishita's life.

So Raman, impulsive, angry, possessive, jealous Raman resurrects those walls despite Ishita being alive. Because yes she is alive, but why the hell is she with mani? The mani who thinks Raman was never good enough for Ishita. I think the reason mani has always gotten to Raman had nothing to do with the fact that he's always questioning Raman about his not being good enough, rather Raman himself saw in the past that on paper, this man is a perfect fit for his wife.

Raman and mani both forget Ishita doesn't live her life on paper though. But the minute therefore, mani makes an entrance, Raman's mind starts working. So yet again, she leaned on her friend for support for seven years, and didn't even contact her own husband. And the walls are now resurrected.

The walls that can be broken by one person in this whole entire universe are staying up because Raman is angry and hurt and yet again, feels like he was not good enough. Why didn't Ishita come back? Didn't they get past 'Siri Ruhi ke liye'?

Raman just went from existing in constant agony to living, now Ishita is alive, in a hurricane of anger, pain, jealousy, envy, and love. Crazy, unpredictable love and jealousy are the ingredients that are going to make Raman Kumar Bhalla 2.0 more ruthless, angry and spiteful.

Because he is in pain and had been for years, while she was alive and with someone else. So now, he'll make her experience what he had been for years.

But why? He'll only be giving himself more pain. We know hurting her will hurt him more.

But they'll be hurting together. After all these years, at least they will share something together. And this way, the only person in the world that can bring these walls crashing down won't. Because he'll hurt her too much. This version of Raman is so broken that it will take even more to break him. And yes, Ishita has that power. But this time he thinks he won't let her use it. He'll keep her close enough to keep hurting her, but far enough so she doesn't crack the wall.

RKB, ladies and gentleman, at his volatile, jealous, possessive, crazy, insane best.

Wonderfully written as usual. I wish I had more to say to your posts, but you write everything so beautifully that I have nothing more to add on.

Do you write ff's? I have this hunch you would be a brilliant writer 😆

Ah so kind. Had to pen these thoughts today

I'm better at analysis. I seem to have updates for ff that are too small. But I'm working on one and will try and update soon
Thanks for the kind encouragement

Amazing post! 👏 I have been silently following all your posts and have loved all of them! You have such a great understanding of this characters and can put it into words so beautifully! And today as I read the WU, I wished someone would write about Raman's character and I'm so glad you posted this!

Raman is an character who to me is a very emotion driven person who takes things to the extreme! He's one who loves with a great passion and once you evoke hate in him, he does that with an equal passion. Everyone that you have mentioned about his character right from his anger to impulsive nature to jealousy, it all goes to an extreme level. When he hated Ishuta in the beginning of this show, his hate was extreme, when he began to fall in love only to have Mani entered their lives his jealousy reached its extreme point and then when he lost the woman he loved with such a passion, his guilt was at its peak when they lost their baby which caused the surrogacy and even after the leap it was reaching its height where the mention of her made him feel bad as we saw through his arguments with Adi.

And today when he saw her back, that same love of his came forth in those first 5 minutes. But as Mani came back he brought with him Raman's jealousy, possessive, and pain. We've already seen the result of Raman's jealousy and that's what happened today, but along with that came that pain of 7 years without her when it could have been 7 years with her. It's different that he failed to realize why she chose not to return, and that was a selfish moment where he didn't think about her or her pain and all he could think of was the fact that she stayed away from him.

Raman Bhalla and pain are a dangerous combination, but these two came together in that precap which is a result of Raman seeing her alive yet not with him. And once we have a hurt Raman, we get the Raman that goes on to hurt. This man takes his pain to the extreme point where he hurts that very person who hurt him. He did that 7 years ago when he was in the pain of losing his daughter that he hurt the woman who he believed have him that pain. So tomorrow he will take the pain of 7 years and try to give Ishita the same pain in the same way he had the night he lost her. But as you mentioned, as he hurts her he will hurt himself.

Exactly. Raman is capable of immense love. And at the opposite sprectrum, he can cut deeper than a knife. He is so sensitive. So sensitive. And I think this word isn't used enough to describe Raman. The word describes those who feel everything deeply. And it's because of this that Raman when he gets hurt, goes into extreme defensive mode

Wonderful response and thanks for the encouragement 😊

Lovely analysis as always!

Just when Raman was introspecting thanks to Adi - his world is shaken...Ishita is alive!

Shock, happiness, relief

He brakes the Bhalla-Iyer boundary after one glimpse of her

Then Mani comes and states he doesn't respect women...

A brief moment of introspection and slightly visible guilt

Then Mani, after stating Aliya isn't Ishita's daughter. makes Ishita choose

Ishita in her fear of hatred and rejection from Raman sparks just that - armed walls surrounded by rage and bitterness protecting a core of vulnerability that's consumed by fear of not being good enough...of not being #1 in his beloved's life.

Then comes in man #2 aka ACP - another person who Ishita trusted over Raman to save Raman.

Reminded again of his failure of building that trust in his wife - he is armed for battle through a vile tongue while internally prepared to officially lose everything - his kids, his parents, and most importantly - his beloved, the reason for him actually being alive.

All the relationships he pushed away in the last 7 years will now find solace in Ishita & he probably knows this.

The end of bitter Raman is nearing but he won't go out without a fight.

---

On the other hand we have someone not ready for battle, someone who wants to avoid the rejection completely.

Ishita is terrified of the hatred coming her way from Raman. Even if Mihika, Adi, and all accept her back...is she still strong enough to face Raman?

No.

She has seen him alone and bitter while drunk.

She has seen him praise Adi Bhalla's deceased mother.

Will she remember this?

No because she is focused on the fact he believes she is why Ruhi died.

She won't see his pain bc she is so consumed by his rejection.

Will he see her pain? Depends on which Ishita we get but he knows he has one card to trump her - Ruhi.

And that is where the tides will turn

When Ishita with the help of ACP will discover Ruhaan's truth...

Even if she will be guilty for her daughter's suffering - she will be empowered enough to finally go to battle bc Ishita Bhalla can't go to battle on her own for herself.

---
Ishita reclaims her view she is a good mother with the rescuing of Ruhi, but the question is what will they show for Raman to claim the view he is a good and dependable husband?

Let the (painful) games begin...

Absolutely loved all the points of view. The man who had been reduced to meaness and revenge personified thawed gradually due to his JKR and Ruhi. Bereft of them he was living and partly living. The warmth for others was substituted by his obsession for Pihu who could make him dance on her little finger. It is she who sets of the Haarvali Aunty's return. The day he realises his Madrasan is alive is the day his Pihu returns from Australia too. He decides to fight the world for his son. He will fight for sole rights over Pihu. Ishitha who is still guilt ridden will return to her JKR avataar when her suspicion for Ruhi is aroused. The two would then resume their fight and Adi and Pihu would be the ones who help them mend differences.
What makes YHM watchable is the amazing performances. Wish they had paid that attention in recruiting the CVs too.
Ishitha has faced so many molestation attempts and understands the trauma of Aalia and the values imbibed by her son from his Ishima and Papa. his Papa who has remained fiercely loyal to his Ishima.
What confusion or resolution does ex ACP cause? hope Shagun unearths the truth about Ruhan.
KP was remarkable in the last two episodes. Earlier Romi was the punching bag. Now it seems to be Adi's turn. Hope the Cvs show some maturity in crafting the story.

yes. Painful. These games will be very, very painful. Her heartbreak at the idea that Raman hates her is just so painful to watch. Excruciating in fact, because the whole world can see how much these two idiots love each other. They are their own worst enemies. they don't trust themselves.
And it's slightly maddening to think how alike these two are. They both feel rejected. Raman feels like he will never be the one Ishita rums to for help, and Ishita thinks Raman has truly rejected her despite the fact that he utters nonsense in anger all the time. For two people who know each other, this hurt and rejection seems to be clouding everything else.
A wonderfully written post by the way 😳
