I walked to the door and put my hands on the knob and twisted it slowly making sure when the door opens in my room it does not make a sound to wake up my sleeping beauty from her sleep. As I opened the door, the vision on the bed became clearer and I could see the face of my angel resting peacefully. It took me a whole minute to realize that I was just standing there watching her sleep and smiling. Whenever I see her it takes me to the time when I first saw her in my office, for an interview and the whole memories comes back to me each and every time.

The office was full of candidates eagerly waiting for their chance to come. The room was filled with emotions like anticipation, confusion, nervousness, confidence etc. A person who was in his mid twenties enter the room and suddenly everything was quite. His dress shirt and suit were both black, but his tie perfectly matched his iris. His eyes were shrewd and assessing. He stood with economical grace. Every girl in the room was drooling over him. Had have a magnetic personality. Tabloids had always referred him as tall and dangerous. He took a look around the room and saw a face which captivated him then and there. He have seen many girls before but she was different, nervousness can be seen in her eyes but yet her dove eyes contained a hint of confidence, her rosy lips were perfectly parted and she looked nothing less than an angel. Her skin was completely flawless. She had dove like eyes with little kajal on it. Her makeup was simple and her hair tied up in a ponytail. Her cream suit had a tailored look that was bold against her skin, but he could already see her in jeans and a t-shirt, feet up on the couch and painting her nails. Their eyes meet and he forgot to breath. He realized that he was looking at her for a long second and suddenly unwontedly shifted his eyes over the room. The spokesperson came forward and stated
"Hello everyone, we all know you are quite excited about your interview today. Let me introduce you all to the founder of our multinational company, the CEO and multimillionaire Mr. jalal". Everyone clapped "But we are sorry to inform you that he won't be there at the time of the interview, he is just here to give you his best wishes".
Jalal took the mice in his hand and looked at the girl who have made him look at her every now and then "But now that I see you guys here, I have decided to wait and be a part of the interview session as I would love to know the person who will be working for me", saying this jalal went inside the building to the conference room.
Everyone outside was excited that jalal would be a part of it as he was an inspiration for most youngsters and most of the girls were determined to get a job just to be with him. The session began and the level of excitement would be sensed in the room, soon candidate were going in and coming out, some were happy, some disappointed. Soon a girl was called in and she took her file and walked towards the conference room. The room was huge; the walls were white with white color curtains and a huge table at the center. Every single person was having a laptop on his desk and a pen with some books and a bottle. The committee was of 11 members with jalal at the centre. There was a chair kept in middle just in front of jalal for the candidate to sit. She entered the room and went near the chair and kept her file on the desk. Jalal was busy on his laptop working when he heard a voice.
"Good morning, everyone, I am jodha singh." As soon as he heard those words his eyes flew to the person sitting in front of him and his hands stopped typing automatically. There was a shyness to her, hesitation in her body movements and a softness in her voice. He was lost in her.

He was astonished to experience that she had that kind of effect on him. He was never the one who was distracted due to a girl in middle of his work, but now he was. As he stood there and relived his memories while looking at her, he thought even now is no different. He could feel his feet's walking towards her and he sat beside her, putting his hand on her head he leaned in and kissed her forehead while she moved in her sleep, and put her hand in his and said "you are late"
"I know, I am sorry angel"
"Do you remember what the date tomorrow is?"
"How would I ever forget it" they both smiled as they remember the event that brought them together.

Jodha had started working in Jalal's company as his personal assistant. Soon came an invitation for a reception ceremony of jalal's old friend and business partner. As it was a good chance to know his competition he decided to take jodha as well so she could learn few things. The date for their departure was fixed and the flight was booked. As the date was coming nearer jodha's excitement was increasing as she would be traveling along with jalal for the first time. It have been less than 6 month she have joined in and jalal have always impressed her, be it his ability to handle a situation or his multitasking . She had started to develop some kind of feeling towards him which she was unknown of. Everyone knew that he was a play boy, that was a public fact, but whenever she sees him with someone else hand in hand she was very frustrated. Even jalal have sensed that, every time he says a girl's name or touch someone else hand jodha would lose it. She never showed it to him but she would behave all cranky and furious with others which kinda made him happy. He had never crossed his limits with her, she hold a very special place in his heart ever since his eyes landed on her. He always thought that maybe she doesn't like him as she would always behave and never gave any type of signals to him like girls in the past did, she was different.
They both reached the hotel a day early as jalal had a business meeting. They took the keys to their respected rooms and walked. As jodha stopped an elevator and was to enter, she trembled and was about to fall when strong masculine hands went around her waist and supported her. All her hairs were on her face and she couldn't see who helped her but as soon as she came to her senses and picked herself up she moved her one hand to remove the hairs from her eyes and was surprised to see the person standing in front of her.
Jalal was behind her on his phone when he saw she was about to fall. His heart skipped a beat and he dropped his phone down to keep her from falling and suddenly she was safe, he felt that his life was secure. It was a very odd feeling for him but then he saw the hand wrapped around her waist and he became very annoyed. He knew his limits hence tried to control his flowing rage. He went near her and removed the hands which were still on her waist and kept his hand on her shoulder to give her support.
"Thank you "he said with a hint of fury in his eyes to the person standing in front of him and looked at jodha who was still looking at the person who saved her. He didn't understand anything why were they looking at each other the way they were, like they were in love with each other, like he was some old flame from her past which she never got over with nor did he. It was like their eyes were speaking louder than words. They didn't need words to communicated, their eyes were enough. Jalal felt like someone have stabbed him in his heart. Even a look in her eyes for someone else was having so deep effect on him. She suddenly hugged him and he hugged her back with. Jalal was losing it, she never allowed anyone near her. There were people in the office who were drooling all over her all the time but she kept her distance. He never thought that she could be close to someone. He used to think that she is avoiding men because she was waiting for someone perfect, and would do anything to be that someone. He started avoiding girls, he stopped his one night stands, he was emotionally consumed by her, he didn't need anyone else to satisfy him, her memories, her smile, her good morning, her coffees worked beautifully for him. He woke up to see her and slept with her dreams. He changed because of her. Even if he holds a hand of a lady, it was only of the business associates. But now his thoughts were changing. He thought "what if she was not saving herself for someone perfect? What if she was saving herself for him?" He became more furious but controlled his anger. His muscles were tighten under his suit and his eyes were turning red, he would have hit him then and there but before he could do anything jodha broke her hug and looked at jalal.
"This is " before she could complete her sentence "Mr. surya" said jalal in fury and forwarded his hand.
"Mr. jalal" said surya as they shook their hands while surya's other hand was on jodha's shoulder.
Jalal could not take his eyes off jodha and she thought she needed to give an explanation.
"He is my childhood friend. I saw him after many year hence couldn't help myself, he is like a brother to me." Her last sentence brought peace to jalal's heart.
Surya on the other hand didn't understand the need to explain their relationship to him. He knew he was like a brother to her and she has always been his sister, but she never thought to explain it to anyone before. Surya asked out of curiosity " Are you both together?" with a questionable look at jodha. "No" jodha said in disappointment which was not unnoticed by both the gentleman, with different emotions.
Jalal was happy and found a hope in it while surya who knew his Casanova image was worried.
"How do you know him" she asked
"Business revivers "
Soon they chatted a little and parted for their rooms.
In the meeting hall jalal met rukaiya his childhood friend who was once in his life. Jodha knew about their past and was very unhappy, It was always in the tabloids that whenever these two meet there flies a spark. Rukaiya would be seen coming out of his room or vise versa. Even the thought of that happening brought water in her eyes. While jalal was busy talking with rukaiya, surya was busy observing jodha. He knew she had fallen for him but this hard was not known.
All the other men in the room were looking at jodha as she was wearing a red saree. All her curves were seen in it while the fabric was hugging her each and every part . She wore a black sleeve less blouse which complemented her shin beautifully. Some even came up to her and asked her out, which she refused. Jalal was seeing this while rukaiya saw jalal looking at his assistant quite offend. Once the meeting was over rukaiya announced that she needed to buy a dress for the reception party as the theme was fairytale. Jalal then remembered that even they didn't know about the theme and hence jodha would also need a gown to wear. He had never seen her in gown before and he told her to accompany them as she would also need to buy one.
At the shop, jodha tried some of the dresses but didn't buy anything. The next day was the reception and she decided to wear something which she brought with her or skip going. But by the afternoon there was a delivery and when she opened a big box that was placed in her hotel room she was surprised to see what was inside. A beautiful pale white gown from the shop which she loved the most. But she knew it was too expensive hence didn't buy it but then again who have send it. She looked inside the box to see a letter which says
"I know you loved it. Take it as a gift.
Xoxo-J "
She wore it and went to the reception party. Everyone was stunned to see her looking like a Cinderella. She had minimal makeup, her hair tied up in a beautiful bun just making few strain fall on her face making it more adorable. An off shoulder neckline not reveling much, which was tight on her waist justifying her each and every curve. The bottom was flowy giving her a dreamy look. She was looking breath taking. Jalal couldn't take his eyes off her nor anyone else. Jalal automatically moved toward her and put his hand forward. Jodha without thinking twice accepted his hand and they walked as a perfect couple. Jalal by this act have made everyone in the room realize that she is taken and if anyone tries to take her away there would be consequences. No one in the room wanted to mess up with jalal and hence decided to keep their distance. Soon the dance session was started and rukaiya came up to jalal and took him away for a dance. He didn't want to go but due to his previous relationship to her he couldn't deny it.
Jodha was sitting all by herself and looking at jalal dance when she heard people talking about jalal and his Casanova image. Then she heard that maybe tonight he would spend with rukaiya and many more which unsettled her and she got up and walked out of the hall. Jalal saw her all worried and walking out and he dropped his hand which was holding rukaiya's hand and left his dance partner in the middle to search for jodha. Jodha on the other hand have gone to her room crying, she couldn't understand her emotions, have she really fallen for him. She was lost in her thought when there was a knock on the door. She rubbed her tears and opened the door to see worried face of jalal. When he saw her there he took a deep breath and hugged her tight.
"Why you left from the hall all worried. Is everything all right"
She broke the hug and said yes it is and went near the window were she could see her reflection. She could see jalal. All those words came back to her. She started to imagine jalal and rukaiya together and she lost her last inch of self-control and tears started flowing from her eyes. Jalal saw that and didn't understand what was wrong. He went near her and touched her shoulder. Jodha's eyes flew to the window. She could see jalal hand on her shoulder, his skin touching hers, they were standing side by side and she couldn't stop herself to appreciate them both as a couple.
"We look good together" she said. She was in her dreamland. She didn't knew she just said that out loud.
Jalal's saw in the window and said "yes we certainly do". There was no denial to that.
Jodha was still in her dreamland "Then why we are not? They said you will spend the night with rukaiya" a tear escaped her beautiful dove eyes like a falling crystal.
This was enough for jalal to know what was bothering her. He made her face him. As she moved she realized what she have spoken. How will she see in his eyes after all. She don't know what he thinks of her. She lowered her eyes to hide her embarrassment but jalal put his hand down her chin and made her look in his eyes.
He saw love in those eyes which he always wanted to see, from the first day when his eyes found hers. But before he could move further he wanted to confirm her feelings, he didn't want her to regret anything later. If she said yes he would give her all the happiness, he would change completely for her, he would be a better person which she deserves.
"Do you love me jodha?"
She searched his eyes and found pure love there.
"Yes"
He moved closer to her and she closed her eyes in anticipation. He came close to her ears, she could feel his breath near her neck, her heart was beating fast and so was his.
"Then don't you worry. I will be yours forever and you will be mine"
Saying this he closed in their distance and placed his lips on hers.
Those beautiful memories brought smiles on their faces.

Since that night they have gone through a lot. They both have been each other's pillar of strength. Many problems came in their lives. Many times jalal's past have interfered but their love have always won.
Now here they are looking in each other's eye with love growing with each passing day.
"Love you"
"I love you too, angel"
Jalal touched her face which was all wrinkled and yet beautiful. She still was the most beautiful lady for him. The soul to his body. Her eyes have gone deeper due to age but they still reflected her love for him. Those lips were shaking when she speak but for him they were more beautiful than a blooming flower. Years have taught them many things and their love aged like wine. Once she entered in his life, he wanted nothing else. 42 years of marriage had passed like wind. They never thought they were growing old, it was more growing together as a whole for them.
As he came back to his senses, he realized that he was still at the door. He hadn't moved a bit. The bed was empty and a teardrop fell on his chick. His legs were trembling as he moved towards the bed and layed down were his angel used to sleep. He hold her pillow near his face to drain in the scent and comfort him. Remembering all those memories which they made and lived together he took her fragrance one last time before closing his eyes to meet his angel in paradise.
