The title is misleading, he said nothing of that sort. Anyways, I don't know why women frown when a man says he'll love his mother more than his wife. That's a place a wife/lover has to carve in his heart. I personally find it endearing when men take care of their mothers.

Again, I'm not generalizing here and saying that ALL men are like that because times have changed but many are. I think one (man or a woman) needs to realize they have equal responsibility as a child to their parents and also as a partner to their wife/husband, IMO, you cannot say one is more important than the other.

There is nothing wrong with loving one's mother. A man have different relationship with his mother n wife and both should not be compared with each other!
However some men want their wives to forget their ( wives') parents and completely be a devotee to their own parents. That's a problem.

I should clarify that I wasn't referring to the extreme cases. Some balance of sanity and love is normal. A wife has her own place and a mother her own. Both should be given equal respect.
