Chapter 4

In the breakfast table all are sitting waiting for Jalal and Jodha.

"Here the couple arrived" teased Mirza.

Jalal and Jodha climbed the stairs and reached the dining table. Jalal pull the chair for Jodha. She looked at him.

"iss pyaar se meri taraf na dekhooo...pyaar ho jayega..." sing mirza with teasing intention.

Jalal Jodha both shockingly looked each other. Unknowingly Jodha blushed hard and Jalal looked everywhere other than her.

"Bhaijaan, how was yesterday night? Did you sleep well?" said mirza with a grin. Jalal get more embarrassed

"Mirza!" scold Hamida. "Don't say something embarrassing". Mirza smile slightly nodding to his mother. "Now ask your bhabhi to eat something. It's also a nature of a good brother in law."

"Yes ammijaan" Mirza said. "Bhabhi please eat something. You know every day bhaijaan used to make a fresh apple and mango juice for all of us. He had a magic in his hand in this criteria." Said Mirza in praising tone.

"Really Mirza?" ask Jodha.

The tone of asking shock Jalal. She is asking about me? Why?' he thought.

Jodha herself got shock. Why? Why she enquired about Jalal's work or about him?' she shocked. Maybe he is my husband now.' Her mind told her.

"Yes Bhabhi, if you ever sip my bro-made apple juice, you want to kiss him right now" said mirza.

The spoon in Jalal's hand fell down with a metallic sound. Hamida move her head to hide her laugh. Humayun bit his lips not to laugh. Mirza bit his tongue for blurring out those kind of embarrassing statement.

Jalal looks at Jodha. She looks at him. Both of them feel awkward. They both know they didn't share any kind of love relation. But still kissing each other makes they shy.

The statement makes Jalal again went to his dreamland again. How magical will fell his lips on her? How is it tastes? How to feel, to nibble, chew and suck her juicy lips with mine again and again. If I could kiss her any time I want to kiss her day and night long.' He thought.

They come out of their thought when Hamida cough formally to make them realise were they all are.

"Beta Jodha, humare ghar me ek kaam hai jo hum har roz karte hai. Is riwaz keh sakti hoy a abhyas. Roz raat ko dinner ke baad hum sab drawing room me jama hote hai, or baith ke gana gate hai. Main or tumhare sasurji dono hi gane ke bade shoukeen hai to mirza or Jalal bhi baith te hai or enjoy karte hai. Taki humeri neend or ane wale naye subha hasi khushi me kaate or dil me koi pareshani naa rahe. Or isse pariwar ke sadasya ke beechinteraction bani rahe. Jalal subha bank ke lie jata hai, tumhare sasurji bhi nahi rehte or mirza bhi university chalal jata hai so hum sab dining table pe I mil pate hai. Is liye ye antakshari khelte hai hum. Kehte hai sangeet dilo ko jode rakhte hai, yeh uske practical experience sochlo." Said Hamida

"Wow ammijaan," she stops "kya main aapko ammijaan keh sakti hu?" aksed Jodha.

"Jalal or Mirza mujhe ammijaan hi kehte hai. Or ab tum Jalal ki biwi ho to tum puch kyu rahi ho? Of course tum bula sakti ho"

"toh ammijaan, aap bhi gaati hai in saab me?" she asked with curiosity.

"ya of course, or is khel me sabko gana hota hai, sabko participate karne hota hai. Chahe gana aye ya na aye. Tumhe bhi aaj rat khelna hoga. Sirf aaj rat kya aab to har rat tumhe baithna hoga humare sath"

"ohk ammijaan" Jodha said hesitatingly.

All finished their breakfast. Jodha ajalal went to their.

"tumhe apne marzi ke khilaaf kuch karne ki zarurat nahi hai" jalal said with a stern voice.

Jodha shocked. A few minutes back he responded to he accepted her friendship, then what happened now?

"Per kyu? Aaj subhah hi to hum dost bane hai or ab main dost ke sath sath aapki wife bhi hu" Jodha said while closed eyes.

Jalal turn around. He was shocked with her words. She is claiming as his wife? But only said "ok" and went away from the room '

In the afternoon all the ladies came their house for Jodha's Muhdikhayi. All praises her beauty as well as Jalal to have her as his wife. All the way Jalal was quiet. All of their words always made him think again and again about their incomplete relation. He knows having her as his wife is just an irony for him. There is no husband and wife relation between them and that is the thing bother him most of the time that they are not like other newly wedded couple.

In the night after dinner as per tradition of Muhammad family all gathered in the drawing room after dinner. For their after dinner Antakshri and gossip season.

"So now when all are here together again after 5 days after my bhaijaan's wedding. Let's start the game now. For our new member today I ma slightly changing our rule of games. Har din hum yords ya letters ke sath khelte hain. But aaj for a change hum Hero heroine and singers ko leke khelenge. Ok the rule is simple. Aj jo bhi gana hoga us gane ke hero heroine ya singer ko leke dusra gana gaya jayega. All clear?

All nodded affirmative. Jalal and Jodha sat on one of the double sofa, Humayun and Hamida sat on the other and mirza sat on the single sofa.

"So start the game? First abbujaan ." all look at Humayun.

"ehhh!! Why? Why always I will sing first? Today is Jalal's day he have to sing first.

"No abbujaan, you are the elder person you have to sing today. I always sing first." Said jalal.

"ok ok stop." Hamida yelled with raising her hand. "Mirza today you start. Others hey will shout like 5 year old child. Ok your heroine is Amisha Patel."

"ewww! Ammijaan aapko koi or heroine nahi mili kya?" Mirza yell. Jalal bit his lips to hide his laugh. Jodha sees this and her lips also get wide with smile watiching this.

"Not fair Mirza. You have to sing what ever hero/heroine came upon to you tumhe ab agan hi adega. Hum sabko jo jo hero heroine ya singer milega, pasand aye ya na aaye gana padega sabko. Ok?" said Jalal. All nodded yes.

Ok bhaijaan. By the way, not a bad option. I have a beautiful song in my mind. You know I am an encyclopaedia in this subject of Hindi songs. So here I go...

Jalal looks at Jodha, "yes Hum bhi tumhare diwane hai Jodha, bas ye baat tumhe bata nahi pa rahe hai" jalal think in his mind

Arre kalee ghataye barkha sawan -2, yeh toh sab afsane hain

Taja taja kalee khilee hai, ham usake deewane hain

All started to clap. Suddenly Mirza got up and went to his room and come with his guitar and hand it to Jalal

"hey why me?" Jalal shockingly said

"aaj aapka din hai bhaijaan. Bhabi ko impress kardo. Unko bhi to pata chale kesirf unke devar ko nahi balki unke pati bhi guitar me pakke hain." He winked at Jalal

Jalal is now embarrassed and so as Jodha. He looked at her. She looked at him.

Without her knowledge Jodha said, " bajaiye na, hum sunenge."

Only these 4 word made magic on Jalal. She demanded first time to him. That to listening his talent, to play the guitar. With excitement Jalal pull up the guitar on his lap and looked at Mirza. Mirza started singing again.

Jodha started to enjoy their late night singing chat and the romance of her father and mother in law. Jalal look at her while playing the guitar. He know that she is liking this atmosphere. He knows his ammi and abbujaan love each other very much even in this age. He always admire their love for each other.

Jodha looks at Jalal. Listening to these romantic songs she don't know why but the only person come to her mind is Jalal only. "Why this is happening to me? I love someone else. Then I have to remember that person only listening these songs. To phir kyu us insaan ke jagha mujhe Jalal ka khayal aa raha hai baar baar. Kya mere 6 mahine ka pyaar uski 3 din ki maujudgi ne feeka kar dia? Jab bhi Main Jalal ko dekhti hu uske aankho me ek dard dikhayi deta hai. Or who dard dekhke mujhe aisa kyu lagta hai ke maine kuch ghalat kia hai. Per kya? Maine aaj hi Jalal se pehli baar baat ki or ek hi baar me main us insaan ko bhool gai jisse maine pyar kia? "ok let me think once." Said Jalal. He started thinking. But while thinking he was looking to Jodha from the corner of his eyes. His heart wanted to sing a song which could easily makes her understand his feelings. He knows nothing is better that songs to convey feelings.

"oh god bhaijaan! Now start the song. Bhabi ko aise hi dekhte rahe to ho gaya gana bajana. Bhabi jaan ko dekhne ke lie puri zindagi padhi hai aapki." Mirza teased.

Jalal embarrassed and Jodha's cheek gone he darkest shade of red in blush. She herself don't know why she is blushing in the mention of jalal.

"ok I am starting." Said Jalal looking at Jodha with pain in his eyes of his failure love

Tears welled up on her eyes so she look down to hide her tears. Her heart pumping hard inside her chest. "Why his song why his voice effecting me so much that I am crying now? Why is he singing this song? What he is try to tell? Is it something about... LOVE? Is he also in love with someone?" she thought.

Her thought makes her shock. Is he really love someone like me? That's why he talks about divorce? But why I am feeling low thinking about this? Why I didn't accept his proposal of divorce? What is happening to me?
