Sharad Kelkars new character modeled on former union minister-TOI

Actor Sharad Kelkar character Sainath Munde in the Marathi film Sangharsh Yatra will remind the viewers of former union minister Gopinath Munde, who died in a road accident in 2014. Confirming that his new role is inspired by the late politician, the actor who was seen in Hero and the recent Sardaar Gabbar Singh,says, "I have used prosthetics for the first time. It was a tedious and tiring process of three hours. I would be confined to one place, keep my head straight and not move. It made me drowsy. Due to this hot summer, playing the part became even more challenging as my face would start sweating. I would be tempted to take the guise off. Removing that was even more painful as it was all glued to my face. Thankfully, the efforts were worth it all after we saw the result."
