Is Bajirao Mastani really a well-made film?

First of all why was Mastani called a Muslim throughout the movie when her father was a Hindu?In those days,children would follow their father's religion more than their mother's religion.Mastani's look was also that of a Muslim princess.This was one big mistake in the movie.

Secondly,Mastani was portrayed as a selfish woman.Her world revolved around Bajirao and she didn't care for anything to live with Bajirao.She literally forced bajirao to accept her as his wife.Because of her,bajirao neglected his own wife.Never did she tell bajirao to spend time with Kashi.And then she started playing the victim card because the society didn't accept her as Bajirao's wife.Even in this 21st century,no one will accept a second woman/a homewrecker.Sridevi,Sangeeta Bijlani,etc. are still called homewreckers.

Coming to Bajirao,this man started neglecting his wife for Mastani.He never tried to understand why Kashi was against him.Even in the last scene,he kinda justified his actions by saying that "so what if I neglected u,in front of the world,u r still my wife."Kashi gave him a nice reply by saying that their relationship lost it's value the day he let mastani enter his life.Bajirao was shown as a braveheart who never lost any battle with his enemies but he lost the biggest battle of his life,his battle with his own people.

Was Bajirao Mastani really a well-made film?Discuss.

Lets wait for the TRP verdict too,coming Wednesday.

We will know If worldwide 367 crores collection was a fluke or not.Lets not forget that BM clashed with overseas king SRK.BM did better in USA/Canada and Australia...

Nevertheless,the fact that SLB didn't get a certificate from I-F will of course remain SLB's single biggest setback😒

Well made - Yes. Technically it was better than Devdas.

Tried to watch last saturday on colors, too boring, changed channel after 45 min or so.

Is it my cup of tea? - No.

In terms of acting, cinematography, direction, sets and costumes - YES.

I am yet to watch it.
In fact last year I only watched two BW films. Bajrangi and DDD. 😆

I dont think the characters were portrayed in a certain way, that was just Wat the real story was, Bajirao fell in love with another women, and slb was portraying Wat happend in thier lives

Like most of SLB's movies this movie too dwells more on the looks of the sets, actors etc more than the content. However I felt with Sawariya and Ram leela he had completely lost his mind only creating pretty sets this one he did bring little content in. But since he was more concerned with the looks of people the characters were very weakly built. Like why the hell did Bajirao love Mastani more when he had a better looking, stronger character-ed wife at home? They did not build up why the love became so strong. The actions of people also did not give a valid explanation of why... its just like oh it happened and you better believe it. Very weak story telling like all his movies.
