Dear Forum friends
This is my very first post on the forum.
Finally mustered up some courage & making a post.

We have all been watching our fav. show for the last 9 months.
There has been umpteen discussions in the forum about the characters both good & bad.
True, a show needs both +ve & some _ve characters .
But the key is not just Quantity but the Quality of those characters.
This is a crucial factor because Good characters except the lead always tend to be shown as meek & weak, whereas all or most of the _ve characters turn out to be super strong & dominant.
There is always an imbalance here.😕

As we have come to see in our show, the really strong + ve character is our hero Viplav which is a given with some support thro his friends , while the rest of the good characters are shown to be pretty weak -- Dhani, Ashram ladies, his fav Dadi, his dad...
But all the _ve ones ( DT, KT, Trip, PC, Bua, ...) are strong & dominating in their own way.
Why so??
Can a show not have a good balance of quantity as well as quality of good & bad?
I think yes, it can & it should . A good show is one with a decent balance & various other qualities too.
What do you think?
Let know ur opinions through ur comments.
Thank you

Your point is right but unfortunately not only in IKRS but in most of the shows they have plenty of negative characters and time and again they are shown succeeding in their attempts to create problems between leads. In most of the shows the negative character's job is only to separate the leads. Don't know why. Don't we face any problems in life other than being separated from the person we love? In a country where marriage is considered forever, in tv shows the leads go their separate ways so easily for stupid reasons. So far I have never watched any show continuosly from beginning to end. Don't have the patience to watch. Let me see how far IKRS can hold my interest, but don't want to quit because of Mishal. He is just a brilliant actor and it pains to see the cv's making a muck of things. Hope they pull up their socks and do a decent job.

Mish, very true
You pointed it very clearly
This is what is missing in all Indian serials and now in IKRS
Ikrs had a very good start but dont know where it changed, everything changed in Nick of time

Now TRPs are villians for this show and the makers don't know how to get the show into original track.

All the villain are strong but they didn't win their plans that is the difference in ikrs. There is no open fight b/w negative and positive characters.

Hello Mishfan 😃 first of first I'm soo happy to see your post...Yes totally agree with you ...balance of good and the bad is must...its not just always the evil winning all the way...the good people are always facing so many problems continuously...which is a bit too much...the way they show so much negativity is too much to handle.

There are many positive areas where the cv's can explore, they can show the character growth...but they are merely reduced to mute spectators nowadays...dadi, these days even viplav, dhani...I miss the ashram days so much there was so much to learn from them, the positive vibes in the ashram felt really good.

It's not just about the protagonists and antagonists all the time but with the supporting cast the show becomes much more interesting.

I wish they show dadi viplav dhani's bonding, rl and the ashram ladies it would balance the show well...instead of focusing on bua and kamini all the way.Keep making more posts dear...till then take care.

Mishfan.. hi..
Vry sensible post dear plz keep posting..n I agree too..
Actually wat they are showing is pretty illogical too bt that's how indian tv wrking lately..
Still I believe ths imbalance was somewat less in ikrs frm vry start..
Viplov used to counteract negative forces quite effectively... bt it seems no growth frm Dhani side at all...
Actually ths 'negative winning small battles against positive' bring in lots of frustration in viewer n frustration brings ratings.. but the outcome is always positive winning over evil with growth of protagonists. .. Dhani's growth is stagnant in ths story n I feel ths track will bring a lil improvement in her character sketch.. I hope..
Plz do write more dear.. 😳

Good Post Mish!!
The thing is that this is the trend that is been following since so many years...N nobody wants to put a stopover on this. ..THERE has to be hundreds of negative around one positive...!

Like for example..
Daddi being shown as a positive character doesnt leave any impact being the meek n submissive woman...its more of her bahu dominating n illtreating her n same goes for her hubby!
So there is no balance inshort if u view it this way...Its more of the good characters have to suffer ...!!Positivity cant be achieved at the helm of negativity...thats my point...U need to balance the two aspects properly likewise even if Daddi is mouthed by her hubby but she should know how to shut kts mouth!!Illtreatment by her hubby doesnt mean she should consider tolerating KTS behaviour too...

According to me quality matters the most than the quantity...

Ashali, thanks for your reply.
Yes, it just beats me as to why this sort of negativity is shown.
The TV has to cater to its audience & is this what they want?
When are going to move forward , don't know.
Me too watching for Mishal & Mishal only.
Stay positive & hope for a better change
