That is where the problem lies. That trait of Ishita makes her a Jagat Mata, a nanny...not a mother. You give her your children, she'll look after and bring them up unconditionally. There is a clear difference between being a mother and showering motherly love. Raman's crass words or guilt of Ruhi's death is a very lame excuse to abandon her children like this...
