Adi compliments John

John Abraham is surprised when so many years after Anurag Kashyap's No Smoking, people walk upto him and say that they liked the film. He says, "I did No Smoking and in my book, it's one of the best films I have done. Anil Kapoor told me recently that it is his son Harsh's favourite film. A lot of people with passion for cinema actually look at it as a cult film, but when I did it, I really questioned myself in the sense Am I making the right choice in this commercial times? And the answer was yes.' One man I really respect is Aditya Chopra and he said John, you are a smart guy, you actually made your best choices by doing films that are really off the tangent and completely different like Water, No Smoking, Kabul Express, these are films that will bring you a lot more than just doing commercial films.' I think he was absolutely right and I was right too. Would I continue making those choices? Yeah I would. But being a producer, I'll cut the cloth according to the length, that's all."
