Even in the beginning (apart from his anti hero movies), he was an ordinary man. It is only in the last few years, he has gone out of reach 😆.

If we look at the blockbusters from other Khans too, the characters are plain ordinary. Bhajrangi was a seeda guy. Though PK was an alien (could read people mind), his acts (running, chasing) resembled common men with no extra ordinary powers.

Imtiaz has mentioned after Tamasha, he is not doing another dark film. If so, it is a great news. Imtiaz's happy movies are treat to watch (Socha Na Tha, Jab We Met). Imtiaz's movies without dark shade, Kabir Khan's movies without ISI bashing are usually a treat.

Hopefully Imtiaz will leave his fondness for abstract things and feelings. If he makes it simple like his earlier movies, this movie with Sharukh has lot of potential. Wishing good luck to both.

I wouldn't call their characters plain ordinary, I mean you don't see ordinary men fighting like Bhajrangi does 😆 and PK being an alien just throws the word ordinary outta the window. I think better example would be Amir's character in 3 idiots or TZP or even Talaash. Aamir does ordinary yet complicated roles quite often, Salman not so much since his whole image is built upon being the Masses ka Masala Hero.

Very excited abt this movie with Anand L Rai! A great actor and a superb director! ⭐️

SRK is playing a dwarf...I remember Kamal Haasan playing a dwarf's role in Appu Raja (double role too) back in 1989! He did a stupendous job and its still one of my all-time favorite movies. What a performance!

SRK is the right choice to carry on KH's legacy of excellence in such a role.

Shahrukh has played an ordinary man quite a few times. It's just that it becomes extraordinary when he does those roles! 😉 Gaurav is one , Suri is one , Samar Anand was one , Rizwan was one so these are all characters that weren't larger than life or anything. But his persona is such that when he does them , they become larger than life. Same goes for so many of his earlier movies as well. I could go on naming those characters but I'm sure all of us here would know about them :)
