It was in a deep enchanting forest beneath the twinkling night sky, eight people were sitting around in a circle on the forest floor with the fire casting a faint glitter on their faces. The four royal couples were on their way back to Ayodhaya after visiting their parents in Mithila but the harsh weather had forced them to spend their night in the forest.
Itni daraavani jagah hai yeh, Kirti said looking around at the huge trees surrounding them.
Haan, baat toh sahi hai. Par mere hote.. mera matlab hum sab ke saath hote hua, tumhe darne ki jaruurat nahi, Shatrughan reassured her.
Haan, Kirti waise bhi kal subah hote he hum yahan se wapas chale jaenge, Sita smiled looking at Ram.
Haan waise bhi humari Rakshasi ko dekh kar sab koi waise bhi der jaate hain, Lakshman whispered in Shatrughan's ears.
Everyone tried to suppress their laughter, Urmila gave Lakshman I-will-see-you-soon look and Lakshman made a cute face towards his Sita bhabhi to save him.
Lakshman tum bechari Urmila ko kyun pareshan karte rahte ho, dekho toh kitni pyaari hai, Bharat scolded him.
Wahi toh bhaiyya, Sumitranandan ko aap he samajaiye, Urmila seconded him.
Bechari aur yeh,...he was about to say something but Ram gave a stern look and he stopped.
Lakshman...Waise ab hum sab ko ab vishraam karne chalna chaeiye bahut der ho gayi hai, Ram said.
Haan, Bhaiyya mujhe bhi ab nidra aa rahi hai, Lakshman said getting up.
Ruko, tum sab saavadhan rehna aur haan, koi bhi raatri mein itder udher nahi ghoome ga... khaas taur se tum Lakshman..,Ram warned him.
Shatrughan and Urmila giggled.Ram looked at the former and said, Shatrughan tum bhi yeh baat dhyan rakhna.
Ji Bhaiyya... he smiled vanished but Sita came to his rescue.
Chalo ab chalte hain, Sita said.
After sometime all the couples had retired to their respective tents, well except for one.As usual Lakshman and Urmila were up to something.They had decided to go for a walk and were sitting beside the nearby lake.
Yahan kitna aanand aa raha hai aur yeh jal bhi kitna sheetal hai, Urmila enjoyed playing with the water.
Woh toh hai, Mila udher dekho aasaman mein kitne saare sundar taare hain na, yeh maza Ayodhaya mein bhi nahi dekhne milta hai, Lakshman pointed towards the twinkling stars.
Haan, isse dekh kar bahut accha laga. She looked at him and said, Yahan laane ke yojna mujhe acchi lagi.
He smiled, Woh toh lagni hi thi aakhir banaya kisne tha, he said proudly.
Accha,toh yeh baat hai, she playfully splashed some water on him.
Yeh kya baat hui, aapki itni himmat. Abhi batata hun, he tried to throw some water on her, but she ran away.
Accha , mujhe pakar ke toh dekhaiye. She showed her tongue and he started running after her.
After running few steps, he caught her hands and pulled her towards a nearby tree.
Ab batao Mila, tum kahan jaogi.
She put her hands around him, Ab aap mujhe jahan le chalenge wahan chalungi.
Arey wah, yeh hui na baat, he said raising his eyebrows.
Both of them were enjoying each others company there.They didnt know for how long they remained there, but after sometime they realised that had come quite far from their tents and were unable to find their way back.Soon a fight started between the two.
Maine kaha na aapse ki yeh aapki galti hai, she gave him a wild-eyed look.
Kya kaha tumne ki yeh meri galti hai, accha. Maine toh bas yahan tumhe ghoomane laya tha aur kuch der pehle to tum yahan aa kar khush thi aur ab dekho.., he said .
Us samay mujhe kya pata tha ki hum yahan rashta bhula jaenge. Aur yeh yojna toh aapki thi na, she asked.
Maine toh bas yojna diya tha, tum bhi to yahan aane ko tyaar thi.
Haan haan, aap toh bas chup hi raheiye. Pata nahi ab hum kya karenge, she looked dejected.
Koi baat nahi, hum abhi rashta jaruur dhoondh nikalenge, he held her and gave her a reassuring look.
Haan, thik hai.She smiled back at him and they both started searching for their way.
Suddenly Urmila called out to Lakshman, Sumitranandan wahan dekhiye yeh wahi jagah hai jahan se hum yahan aae the.
Haan, yeh toh wahi jagah hai. Chalo ab wapas chalte hain.
As they were going back, in excitement Urmila didnt notice that her dupatta had got struck somewhere.
She tried to pull it but it was badly struck. Lakshman saw this and moved back to help her.
But when he saw where it had got struck, he stood slack-jawed.Urmila also turned around to look at it. Both of them were shocked to see the weird looking device.
It was sledge like device with a chair in the middle with a monitor and few handles.They both moved towards it.
Yeh kya ajeeb se dekhne wala vahaan hai, she finally broke the silence.
Pata nahi maine bhi aise kuch kabhi nahi dekha hai.Pehle main tumhara dupatta nikalta hun phir dekhte hain iss ajeeb se vahaan ko.
He started removing her dupatta which had got struck in one of the handles but by mistake, they pulled a handle and the machine started and they heard a strange noise.
Urmila tightly clutched Lakshman's hands and they both tried to get out of the device.But it was too late.
The machine started glowing and their surroundings became blurry.Everything around them became dark and they felt as if they were flying in the sky. They both held on to each other tightly and closed their eyes.
After few minutes, the machine stopped and the noise also stopped. Both of them opened their eyes and left each others hands, They got out of the machine.
They looked around themselves and realised that they were not standing in the deep forest anymore.Their surroundings had changed totally.They were standing in a garden and their were some flowering trees behind them. Infront of them about 100 metres was a huge bungalow and a car stood near its steps.On their either sides at some distance,were many huge buildings.
Yeh sab kya hai, hum log kahan aa gae hain. Abhi toh hum ek ghane jungal mein the aur ab yeh kahan hain, she was confused and looked up at her husband's face, which also mirrored her emotions.
Yeh toh mujhe bhi samajh nahi aa raha hai. Dekho na kitne ajeeb aur oonchee bhavan hain yahan par.
Haan, yahan par bhavan he nahi balki sab cheez he bahut vichitr hai. Mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha hai.Pehle woh vichitr se dekhne wala vahaan aur ab yeh sab, hum log kahan hai aur ab hume kya karna chaeiye. Mujhe kuch nahi samajh aa rah hai, she replied.
Haan,sahi keh rahi ho. Ab hum ek he cheez kar sakte hain aur woh hai yeh pata lagana ke hum kahan hain aur ab wapas kaise jaana hai. He said thoughtfully.
Chaliye yeh sab pata lagate hain, she said and both of them moved towards the bungalow.
After they had moved few steps, they heard someone calling them in a familiar voice and they turned around to see who the person was.
