Brown/black eyes are common but they are not at all ordinary. There is more to the beauty of eyes than their colour - there is shape, size, eyelash size and shape, and also expressive eyes make eyes beautiful.

Blue/green eyes are common where I live, they're not beautiful simply due to their colour either because of this (in my area).

To add: my brother has blue eyes, and I have dark brown eyes. South Asians in particular are fascinated by his eye colour but generally speaking I get just as much - if more more - compliments on my eyes because they are big and I also have long eyelashes.
