ZawRy ki kahaani
Wheeling the trolley out of the arrival hall, Zawra scanned the area for her brother. She muttered darkly under her breath as she realised he had not arrived. She should have known he would be late, he always was.
"Stupid Zain," she spat out, not caring about the looks she was getting for talking to herself. "He's probably swooning over his stupid car."
"Zawra," her friend placed a hand on her shoulder. "Would you relax? I'm sure there's a reason your brother isn't here yet."
Zawra looked at Ragini with something akin to pity on her face. "You'll learn Rags, as I have, that there's nothing more important to that idiot brother of mine than his stupid car." She made a face and apologised to her best friend for dragging her back to Mumbai with her. "If I had known," she paused. "No, that's not right, I had known, but I'd thought," she amended. "That because he knew I was bringing guests, he'd at least come on time!"
Ian rolled her eyes slightly. "Dude, would you just chill? You can yell at him all you like later, when he's busy drooling over Rags, kay?"
Zawra could not help but chuckle at Rags's outraged squeal. She protested slightly as Ian ducked behind her and Rags's hand landed on her shoulder instead of Ian's.
"Let me call Zain again," Zawra pulled her cell out of her pocket and dialled. "Zain, where the hell are you?" she demanded furiously. Ian and Ragini exchanged amused glances as Zawra quickly got into a furious argument with her brother over the phone. Ragini sighed as she heard Zawra yell at her brother for forgetting that they were coming. She turned to her other friend.
"So what do we do?"
Ian pondered for a bit before brightening. "Ohmygod!" She hit her head with one hand. She paused and pouted, rubbing the spot a bit with a distracted "Ow."
"Ian," Ragini poked her.
"Oh, right." Ian grinned sheepishly. "Cherry's in Mumbai," she told her friend.
"Cherry?" Ragini asked, before her face cleared. "Oh, you mean one of your many cousins from all over the world?"
Ian chuckled and shook her head. "Nope. He's not related to me in any way. Thank God," she smirked slightly. "He's my Di's devar."
"Oh Jiju's brother? That Cherry?" Ragini bounced slightly on the balls of her feet, eyes sparkling. "The one whom," she gestured at Zawra.
Ian nodded, beginning to get excited as well. "Imagine. Our plan may actually fall into place," she squealed quietly.
Ragini did not reply as Zawra turned around furiously and stalked towards her friends.
"We are not waiting for that idiot," she fumed, hands on her hips.
"I can call a friend," Ian piped up before Zawra could go into a rant. "I forgot he'd come here for work."
Zawra frowned slightly, but nodded.
Ten minutes later, Rags spotted a tall figure making his way towards them and pointed him out to Ian. Ian abandoned her trolley and raced towards the man, hugging him enthusiastically before practically dragging him to where her amused friends stood.
Zawra's mouth fell open as she laid eyes on the hunk who held Ian's hand. She almost missed Ian's introduction, though, thankfully, she missed the look Ragini and Ian shared as she introduced Zawra to Cherry. Ian pushed him towards Zawra, ordering him to take the trolley from her.
"Tumhe bas mujhse kaam karvana hai," Cherry complained to his friend, but smiled down at the cute girl at his side.
"Obviously," Ian replied cheekily, before winking at him. He coloured slightly, knowing that Ian had pegged him down well enough to match make him with Zawra. He only hoped she would be interested. God knew he already was.

The trolley Cherry was pushing crashed into Rags's back as both she and Ian stopped suddenly. Ragini glared at him, and he gulped slightly. Zawra looked at her two friends in confusion.
"I want coffee," Ian announced without looking at them.
"Well, do you want it now?" Cherry asked.
"Yup," she turned to look at him. "I need coffee."
Cherry looked at Zawra in exasperation, only to be amused to see a similar look gracing her face. Zawra rolled her eyes at him, causing him to grin. "I can take you," she began.
"NO!" The other two girls shouted in unison.
Zawra flinched back in shock. "Why not?" she asked, completely bewildered.
"Erm," Ian stuttered.
"Because I'm not going to be left alone with someone who is liable to kill me," Rags shot another glare at Cherry. "I can see the headlines now; 'Death By Trolley'."
"Ragini," Cherry wheedled. "I didn't mean it."
"Sure you didn't," she shot back. "Just like you didn't mean to lock Ian in a room with Kunj."
"That was you?" Ian squeaked. "Cherry, I cannot believe you locked me in a freaking room for three hours with that sadu!"
"It'd probably be safer for me to go get the car right now, right?" Cherry shrunk back, terrified that both his friends would lean over and claw his eyes out.
Both girls nodded. "Point me in the direction of coffee before you go, and take Zawra with you."
Zawra frowned. "Wouldn't it be easier if I took you guys?"
"Probably," Rags acknowledged, before grinning wolfishly. Briefly, Zawra wondered if she had been reading the Jacob bits of the Twilight series again.
"But you can threaten Cherry for us, considering the fact that you're already in a bad mood."
"Now," Ian looked at Zawra pointedly, and Zawra knew better than to voice out her objections to being left alone with Cherry, despite her reservations, knowing that she would end up doing something to embarrass herself. "Coffee?"
Zawra silently pointed in the direction they would need to go. The two girls stalked off, leaving Cherry and Zawra standing awkwardly next to one another.
"So," Cherry snuck a glance at Zawra. "Shall we?"
Zawra nodded, not trusting her voice. They made their way silently to the parking lot, not seeing Ian and Ragini pause, glance back, and make faces at one another, seeing the awkwardness in their situation.
As Cherry started up the car, Zawra chanced a glance at him, before deciding to at least say something.
"Thanks."
"What?" Cherry looked at her, startled. "Why?"
"For coming to pick us up," she shrugged. "You didn't have to. Still, you did."
Cherry grinned at her, and Zawra swooned mentally. "It's no problem. Ian said your brother was supposed to come?"
Zawra's eyes flashed, and Cherry was glad that the anger was not directed at him, though he decided that angry Zawra was rather attractive. "That stupid idiot forgot."
"How'd he forget you?" Cherry asked incredulously, before realising how that sounded. "I mean, I meant," he stammered. He fidgeted slightly, and accidentally pressed the horn. They both jumped as it blared. Cherry turned red. He was saved from any further embarrassment when Ragini and Ian slid into the back seat of the car, chattering rather happily.
"Chale?" Ian asked brightly. Cherry just nodded, not looking at Zawra. They pulled out of the parking lot.

They pulled up in Zawra's driveway after a long and silent drive, punctuated only by Zawra giving Cherry directions to her place. Cherry got out of the car as well, before beginning to take out their luggage. Ian commented sarcastically that he was only doing it to get back in their good graces, to which Cherry had replied by apologising repeatedly.
The door to Zawra's house was flung open, and her brother bounded out, a cheerful smile on his lips. Zawra ignored him, paying attention to her luggage instead.
"Come on sis," Zain said. "You cannot stay mad at me forever."
"Wanna bet?" Zawra drawled, not even bothering to glance at him. Cherry raised an eyebrow. His eyes never once left Zawra's face. Thankfully, she did not notice. Unfortunately, her friend did. Ian tapped him on the shoulder, smiling sweetly at him. Cherry knew that did not bode well for him.
"Stop drooling," she stated drily, though she still had that same smile plastered on her lips. Cherry flushed. Ian spun back around to stop Zawra from ripping the handle of her bag in her fury.
Zain reached out to take the bag from his sister, who let him, but did not say a word. Zawra stopped her friends from dealing with their own bags, gesturing that Zain would have to manage. Ragini almost protested at the injustice of it, before realising that she did not really care about it, because it meant that she did not have to carry her bag. Ian leaned against Cherry's car, her coffee high dwindling already. She poked Zawra.
"I'm bored," she whined.
Zawra looked at her in amusement. "What d'you wanna do?"
Ian brightened. "Annoy your brother? He seems as annoying as that sadu."
Zawra laughed, while Cherry just looked at Ian, vocalising his disbelief at her need to mention Kunj at every turn. He zipped his mouth at her glare.
"We could do that rather easily," Zawra smirked. "Just tell him something happened to his 'baby'," she mocked. "And he will freak!"
"Let's do that then!"
Zawra nodded, telling her friends to go in before her. She turned around almost absently, thanking Cherry again.
"It's no problem," Cherry reiterated. "I got to meet you, didn't I?" He closed his eyes briefly as he realised his mouth had run off before him again. Zawra blushed.
"Yeah, there were benefits to Zain forgetting," Zawra said shyly. Cherry caught her eye and grinned.
As she turned to go in, Cherry called out after her. "Any chance of meeting again? Say," he looked at her. "Maybe dinner? Tomorrow?"
Zawra bit her lip, smiling slightly, and cheeks pink. "I'd like that."
