I respect all of your view and opinions, but I disagree.

I didn't feel that the dialogues were ridiculing or derogatory toward the LGBT community. It was a normal conversation between two friends, I wouldn't have expected them to tread lightly on the situation and try and be PC in what they were saying.

These are things that can be said by any average man, so why should it be different for television. If this were a show that brought certain social issue to light and tried to create awareness for it, then I would have expected some sensitivity towards the dialogues and situation. But this wasn't the case, it was used in humor and that's it.

I may be have been desensitized by whole issue, I did a huge project on Indian cinema's portrayal of the LGBT community, and talking about it with members of the LGBT community... so I may not have found as offensive as some, because there have been other instances where it has been worse. But these are just my opinions, and I respect everyone's here... but I just felt that I should state mine.
the statement aadha adhura as being a natural repartee to poora…then I am sorry to say that a heterosexual preference does not render anybody complete.
Exactly! That's what I'm saying.. the adha adhura comment DID NOT have any sexual preference connotation when Atul said it.

And I agree with puja that if it is okay on the streets, why make such a big deal out of it when you see it on tv. We're making our own interpretations about whatever they meant while saying anything...sexual pref or physically disabled or whatever..they really seem like personal interpretation b/c I dont think the writers thought as much of it.
Moreover, it actually seems very hypocritical that everybody is to offended by such comments while when movies such as Fire or Journey or anything that has to do with homosexuality comes out, it's such a hush-hush issue. Why don't people proactively go out and support the cause?
