Sometimes the remorse/regret over a failed relationship is like a dead weight around our neck holding us back - preventing us from reaching out and finding happiness again. Sometimes we need to rid ourselves from this 'demon' forever holding us back.
CRIPPLE
I killed him stone dead
To silence his constant whining.
I choked the life out of him;
Couldn't stand his morose expression.
I finished him off,
Because all he did was complain.
I murdered him,
To end his abject misery.
I euthanized that cripple within me,
To end to his obsessive remorse.
Without his dead weight,
Perhaps I can contemplate a future.
