Part 1
Waves of frustration and trepidation rocked Twinkle's body. She could not believe what was happening. Mahi had fallen over the cliff before her very eyes. This had to be a horrible nightmare. Mahi could not be dead. Twinkle could not bring herself to accept this fact. And before she had time to mourn her sister's death she was hauled off to jail. All of this was Yuvraj's doing. Just the thought of him made her blood boil. She despised and wanted nothing more than for Kunj to punch in the face."Twinkle!" It was a half broken sob. She would know that voice anywhere. This voice belonged to her heartbeat, her life, her love, her husband, Kunj.
She ran towards him. The barriers of the jail cell prevented her from launching herself into the security of his strong protective arms. She reached out through the bars and held his hand like it was her lifeline.
"Kunj krpaya mujhapar bharosa kare, I haven't done anything. All of this was Yuvi's plan."
Kunj looked at his broken wife. He wanted to reassure her that all would be well, but the evidence pointed at her. He was trying his darnedest to get her released. He would be damned if he allowed his wife to stay in jail.
"Twinkle,mujhe tum par vishvaas hai. I know you haven't done anything. I swear to God i will make Yuvi pay for this. "
"Kunj, Mahi..." Twinkle broke down in tears. She sank to the ground shattered.
Kunj sat on the ground outside of her cell, not once he let go of her hand. He hated seeing her in this condition and sought to give her courage.
"I will get you out of here. me vaada karata hu."
Twinkle leaned her head against the cold steal bars. She didn't have the strength to fight Yuvi any more. Kunj's touched hers through the bars.
"Kunj, my heart tells me that Mahi is not dead. She cannot be dead." This is a dream isn't it Kunj."
Kunj wished in his heart of hearts that he could tell her it was a dream but sadly it was not. "Twinkle..." He was at a loss for words.
Twinkle heard the catch in Kunj's voice and looked at him. His eyes were blood red and he was visible shaking. She knew his anger knew no bounds and became afraid of what he might do. She didn't want him to land himself in jail too..
"Kunj, you should go home. Maa will need you. You need to be strong for her."
He realized what she was doing. She was more worried about his well being than about herself.
"Twinkle, you need me to. I am not leaving you. "
They held hands silently wishing that none of this drama had happened.

Yuvi was in a celebratory mood. He was drinking champagne and was toasting with his mother.
"Finally mom, we did it. We killed two birds with one stone. We got rid of that ugly irritating Mahi and we managed to separate Twinkle and Kunj."
"Today was a crowning moment, I got to see Leela broken." said Anita.
Yuvi smirked and drank more. "Tomorrow, Twinkle will know what it means to mess with Yuvi Luthra!"
In the morning, Twinkle opened her eyes. She was still in that jail cell. Kunj was outside leaning his head against the bars, his hand holding hers. She caressed his face and he stirred. He had spent the whole night here with her. He didn't leave her. She fought to bring a smile to her face. Kunj looked at the woman who would forever hold his heart forever. Just then his phone rang. he took the call and his face got clouded over with disbelief. he tried to adjust his facial reactions so as not to make Twinkle more worried.
"Twinkle, i have to go. I'll be right back. I'll see to it that you are freed. I will ask Cherry bhai to come and stay with you. "
Kunj waited until Cherry arrived and then rushed out of the police station. The phone call he had just received burned in his mind. He raced to the cliff site. Could it be true? His heart pounded wildly in his chest. That one phone call had given him some hope.
He slammed onto the brakes of the car and flung himself out. He ran down the steep precise. He started searching wildly. There caught between a rock lay Mahi's body. He carefully threaded his way towards her.
"Mahi? Mahi!"
He came to the spot and turn her towards him. She was unconscious but thankfully breathing.
"Thank you Baba ji" He prayed. "Thank you for saving her."
He tried to revive her. He called out to her and slowly she came to. She was clutching her cellphone in her hands. The ropes were loosed and her hands bled.
"Jiju?" she asked disoriented.
"I'm here Mahi. Nothing will happen to you.!"
"Twinkle di?"
"Let's get you out of here first then i'll tell you what happened to Twinkle."
His tone got her worried. Something bad had happened to Twinkle Di.
She struggled to walk. Thank God she had thought to kick her cell phone down with her. When she fell she tried to brace herself for impact. She landed on some bushes, her cell phone laying inches away from her. She heard the screams from above. Her family members were grief stricken. She tried to get up but could not move. She had felt dizzy and then suddenly the darkness kicked in. She sank into oblivion.
It was the humming of a bird and the bright sunny morning that woke her. She tried to recollect the past events. She slowly remembered what Yuvi had done. He first thought was to save Twinkle. She spied her phone and fought to get her hands free from the ropes that bound her hands. With her hands freed, she struggled to get the phone. She struggled to get call Kunj before sinking back into the darkness. That was the last thing she. Now Jiju was here. She sank wearily into his shoulders.

Yuvi came dressed smartly in black to the police station. He looked at Twinkle crying in a corner of the cell.
"Baby..."
Twinkle looked up. Cherry had gone to the washroom.
"Yuvi", she roared. I won't spare you."
"Jaan, relax, i can to save you. Only i can do that for you. All you have to do is say you'll divorce your loser husband, Kunj. Get married to me and i can take this all away. I'll tell the police that Mahi did suicide. Trust me baby, we would live our lives happily."
Twinkle was seeing red. She reached through the bars and grabbed Yuvi's collar. "I HATE YOU Yuvraj Luthra. I hate you. And if you think I'll divorce my husband for you, then you are terrible mistaken. You killed my sister. I will have your head for this!"
Yuvi tried to get her to release him.."Fine Twinkle, I gave you a chance. Now i'll see you rotting here in jail. See you in court baby"
Twinkle spat at him. He wiped his faced and smirked..."Now let's see who saves you" with that he started to act and cried. the police officer felt compassion on him and asked him not to worry as soon the courts would be opened and Twinkle would pay for her deeds.
