After maintaining a firm hold on their careers, Bollywood actors are busy looking West to find interesting projects in international cinema. With most of them bagging interesting projects, Hollywood seems like the one-stop destination for all but not for Sonam Kapoor.
A blockbuster performance in her last flick set things into motion solely on the shoulders of this petite actress, who was once criticised for being a fashion icon and not an actor. However, Sonam proved her worth by essaying the role of Neerja Bhanot in Ram Madhvani's film Neerja, which was heavily promoted and revolved around only one name and that was Sonam Kapoor.
In a latest interaction with a leading daily, Sonam expressed her desire to work in international cinema and that did not include Hollywood. Here's what had to say:

My ambition is to do good work, and it doesn't matter what language it is in. Whether it's English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, French or Chinese; it doesn't matter. I don't think crossover cinema exists anymore. The world has become too small, and I realised that when I travelled for a few film festivals recently. A film like Neerja, for instance, is playing at some of the best theatres in America.
I'm exploring film projects in England, USA and in south India. I'm trying to find good work, because that's all I want to do. I'm even looking for some work in Europe. But that's not what my ambition is. I don't plan to be world famous. That's a by-product of doing good work, and that will happen anyway.
