PART II
"Sunny...beta.come here...Sunny???????" Annapurna calls for her son who is standing at the side of the corridor looking upstairs with a smile on his face somewhere lost in his own world...Its just someday ago when he himself was nt ready for the marraige but look at him today...he is a completely changed man...
Sanskar who was lost in his own thoughts comes to senses after hearing his mom's voice.With a smile on face he goes towards the sofa and sits between his moms. Yes he is told to call Shomi as Maa from now on as for bengalis "maa" word is addressing the affectionate relation of mother and children.
"What happened mom??????Why are you calling me??Maa you both need anything kya?" he asked in a concern tone to which both of the ladies responded with an assuring smile and feeling of proudness towards their Son.
Shomi stares at him with a smile of relievement as she is sure that she is handing over her most precious gem in safe and deserving hands...thinking about the bright future of her princess Shona she got teary eyes and leaves making an excuse of getiing tea and snacks for them.
"Ap, Sanskar you guys seat here I will be back after making some arrangements for tea and snacks" Shomi leaves from there with a smile on her face and Ap again got busy with pandit ji about the detalied detailing about the muhurat he proposed for their wedding and the outcomes.
Sanskar being unnoticed by everyone looks up towards the direction of the window of Swara's room again attaching with the balcony...window is wide open and but the curtains are restricting the glimpse of Swara's room.He picks up his mobile and typed a message and send it with a naughty smile on face.
Meanwhile a person is witnessing all this on-goings from a safe distance so that anyone cant locate the presence and the other hand the information can reach to that person without any disturbance.With every development of marraige fixing that person is giving shocking expression with widening eyes when the traince was broken by the vibration of mobile kept on the side table.Unlocking the device the screen is showing Sanskar's name on it with a wrapped envelope sign...a smile appears on face and with no delay that person opens the text to explore it...
"How long will you stand behind the curtains and listen to our talkings...bad manners.Now come down quick otherwise i will tell maa that Shona is secretly listening to our talkings and eyeing me with various signals 😉😃Come quick my friend"
Swara got tensed and she slighlt part the curtains and found herself caught in Sanskar's vision who is already looking at her with a victorious smile. Swara quickly drops the curtain again with a smile and blushes hard...From the first day when she saw Sanskar at the gate of MM...she started falling for him and now with every day she is falling for him even more...She comes out at balcony and slowly looks at Sanskar and smiles.They share a small eyelock untill Sharmishtha comes there with Bipin da (servant of Shekhar Bose but like a family member of them) with in hands tray full of Singaras and Gudle kochuris (Samosa and Masala kochuri is called as this in kolkata) with masala tea.
"Sanskar beta take ur tea and please dont be formal i made this singaras specially for you as i got to know u really fond of kolkata snacks...Isn't it" Sharmishtha asked happily to his son-in-law who already diverted his full attention to the hot singara and only able to respond a "hmm" while waving hands infront of his mouth which is burning cause of the hot filling of potatoes with nuts...seeing his condition all the persons present over there bursts in laughter including Swara who is adoring the cuteness of his beloved going to be hubby and also enjoying the angry expression he is showing her for laughing at him.
Swara comes down and sat besides Shekhar lowering his gaze from Sanskar who is still watching her with angry eyes for making fun of him...but in mind he is enjoying the innocence and shyness of his friend Swara...Yes friend for life may be.
He used to call her as a friend from the very start of their meet in the party to today.
Panditji gets up from his place and proceeded towards the gate saying that day after tomorrow is very good to done with a engagement as its a mix-cultural wedding. So they can do the engagement as per the wish from groom's side and also can perform the ritual of "Ai-buro Bhat" (Its a ritual in bengal where the bride have a full 16 course meal prepared by all the married ladies from her house before entring into a mingle life and seeks their blessings) three days before marriage as per the bridal side's ritual.
Soon the Maheswaries also leave from there as there is hardly one day left for engagement and they have a lots of pending works to do...Before leaving Ap gives Swara a kangan and chunri in a form of "Shagun and Ashirbaad" and also takes a ring from Sharmishtha to get a perfect engagement ring for her on the day of engagement.They leave in car and swara watches the car going till it completely disappears from her vision.
MM Sanskar's room
Sanskar came to his room all tired and takes out his daily sleeping kurta and trouser and enters the washroom.He comes out frees himself on bed thinking about the recent days of his life and how his all plans are totally changed after coming back to Kolkata. He had a set up in his mind about the dos and dons in mind but that party evening literally destroyed the every set up equations of his life.
*********Flashback*********
Sanskar is so excited about the party which Dp throws for him.He will gonna be the centre today this very thinking is making him so excited.He comes to his room after have a chat with his local friends and meeting that "sweet shop girl" yaa this is the only term he can remember about that girl which he saw today in the morning.
He is preparing himself in the new punjabi Dp brought for him from his favourite shop "KINNOR-KINNORI" (an ancient shop in kolkata who is famous for making punjabis and sherwanis) while Ap enters the room...
Looking the reflection of him in mirror Ap couldnt resist himself from putting a black dot from her "Kajal" of eyes behind his ears to prevent him from evil eyes.He slighlt smiled at his mom's activity as he really dnt believe in such things but for the sake of his mom he does everything he could.
Ap applying the broach on his punajbi declares , " Shekhar da is coming with his daughter Swara and wife...atleast meet her once for me...please sunny...u r my sweet baccha na" she almost left no choice for him with her pleasing tone despite of meeting Swara.He helplessly nodded to her and makes a face like you always makes me agree for everything with your trick mom...
Ap smiles and leaves the room asks him to come down...He again gives a look at mirror and puts a more of body spray around his chest and ear backs and goes downstairs...he is completely feeling uncomfortable while getting as in his mind he knows with every step he is going too close to meet Ms Swara Bose...that very feeling makes him feels odd but ignoring the turmoil of mind he comes in front of
his parents and Ap smiles looking at him...she turned him towards the persons standing in his backside and he gets the ultimate shock at the very first sight of the girl standing there with a green lining yellow body "tant" (a famous types of saree which bengali ladies are very fond of) saree with a simple bun and minimum make up talking over phone smilingly.
She cuts the call and proceeded towards him and others standing there and Ap introduced him saying "Sanskar beta He is Shekhar da ur father's friend and she is come here beta...she is Swara...Swara Bose...about whom i am talking to you"
Sanskar couldnt believe his eyes anymore and in his absence mind he says "Sweet shop girl" which is ignored by all bt nt by the lady standing infront of him smiling at his open mouth and wide eyes expressions
