CHA- Air Force or RAW??

Hi people....

I finally got to watch an Episode of CHA.... Iqbal looks good after a long time.... He has lost weight and he looks fit... He has lost all tht flab that he had gained as Angad, Shaurya and Shiv....

But.... The show looks confused.... I had expected it to be an improved version of Saara Aakash.... Instead it looks like a spoof of a Superhero series....

They have presented a jingoistic picture of the Indian Armed forces... Presenting a sadly stereotyped picture of so called *terrorists* and of a few of our neighbouring courtries... This is particularly sad when India is trying to improve relations with her neighbours... Moreover these people conveniently forget that the Indian Armed forces are accused of doing the same things that we accuse our neighbouring countries of... This show is a politically incorrect jingoistic piece of work...

Well.... Not just politically incorrect.... It is inocrrect in every sense... I fail to understand what Air Force officers are doing behaving like RAW agents... These people are supposed to fly planes and not spy on "terrorists"!! That is the work of people in the intelligence agencies .... It is pathetic that the people in the Indian Media lack this basic sense...

Btw... Another disappointment here.... Vivan's role is too tiny to be noticed... 😭 I want more of Vivan!!

hey!!! glad u were finally able to catch up...

but here in this serial they have shown them to be members of an elite team HAWKS that are into everything from flying planes to undercover missions for eradicating terrorism...

dont worry it wont effect the peace treaty cause in the beginning itself they have been showing that terrorism starts from home ground....that why they are first eradicating it in the country itself then outside....

but ya u know how are indian creative people they change everything to their convenience....i wish also they showed more flying but right now the current track is quite interesting..

and ya Iqbal rocks!! he is really looking good now and don't worry Vivan has a gr8 role right now its a little less otherwise in th beginning he was shown quite a lot.... 😛

so just enjoy the show and if possible write to the miditech people in their homesite of your possible suggestions maybe then they will listen to us....

Well... The Hawks thingy itself is funny... The Indian Air Force doesnt send its officers to spy... Ur either a RAW Agent or a pilot in the Air Force... We dont have officers multitasking... Even if they do... Its the Army which does... Not the Air Force...

But yea... These people twist facts to their convenience...
Just tht I was expecting something better after Saara Aakash.... I hope the plot gets better...

i am afraid i am going to agree on some aspects of your post and differ with some..

Starting of Iqbal, yes he does look good as an AF, he seems to carry the persona rather well, as for flab, if Iqbal is considered to have flab and I am afraid we all will be climbing the obessity charts.. 😆

As for CHA and Flying there is more to AF then just flying planes, I am unsure whether u watched the initial episodes, after the first train bomb..Capt. Veer clearly said that air strikes against the camps is useless and In my case that would attack the country rather then this camps, which is a fact, they exist in each and every country and does not care about religion nor race!!!

With posts like these I do wonder with you emphatise with terrorists and perhaps are giving them an Identity, 9/11, 7/7 london and continous bomb threats be it in india, africa or pakistan is a bitter pill to swallow.

If CHA was a documentary based on the AF, then i would expect the technicality to be shown but CHA is a story about Hawks, who have brought in with different expertise and a story based on their lives which is pure fictional with added masalas to keep us entertained. AF is a back drop.

I am enjoying CHA with all the others on this forum, I guess viewing tastes differ along the masses,

Well.... being apt and realistic is one thing and being grossly wrong abt facts is another...

The Saas Bahu soaps have a reputation of being typical family drama... and the audiences know what to expect... Dont compare this show with ones not of its genre...

In the past people have made a pretty good job of Army/Air Force soaps.... For instance Fauji, or even Maa Tujhe Salaam .... Which were realistic to an extent and entertaining..... I had thought this show would be about the Air Force.... But sadly it looks more like a superhero series....

They should have made these guys some Secret Agents of RAW instead of Air Force pilots... Atleast they shouldnt be shown as members of the Indian Air Force .. India's Armed Forces do not function in such a disorganised manner letting 6 amateurs do whatever they want... Its like a total insult !!

I remember a friend telling me how Star One shows have this extra touch of crappiness to attract the young audiences... Star One has this phobia of shows that are even remotely realistic and closer to life... And she'd even told me this show would be a marked deterioration from previous Armed Forces soaps right from Fauji, Sea Hawks, Maa Tujhe Salaam, Saara Aakash, Left Right Left etc.... I did argue a lot with her and tell her that its not true... And I hope I am proved right....

Lets hope CHA gets back to being what it has promised to be!

I second that,,, I watch it and laff, thinking no serious means of communications or backups, there r so many things I dont know where to start,,, I must say i found saraa akash a bit boring too and this one comes with million more loopholes.

Btw did u notice they dont have a school in the village but all the ladies wear makeup with a shovel there, painted brightly, some bits r pathetically stupid, ,,,,,well everything is more or less that way bar IK😳, what can we do eeh,,,,,
