You are a man of contradictions

I liked the way Sona defined Dev. A man of contradictions. He does the right things wrong way. Dev needs to understand method is as much important as the intent. Else intent will be lost. He should have bought his brother home and then given thapad. Publicly insulting him everytime( I guess it is the second time now) is not going to help anyone. He will feel Dev is doing it because of his superiority complex and will wait for the oppourtunity to see his downfall. He can become a good fodder to man like Khatri.
Now with Neha. Why didnt he tell Neha an English teacher is coming for her. He did the right thing for his sister. Again ended up on the wrong side. Dev needs to correct his methods. He needs to understand the complexity of relations apart from being a son.

Agree with you regarding Neha. Yes he should have discussed it with Neha before appointing English teacher. He is aware of Neha's mindset, her complaints and the way she feels about her being a neglected child. It would have helped Neha understand the good intention of her brother if not immediately but after given much space and time she would have agreed to his suggestion. I disagree with you Sruti regarding the way Dev tackled Vicky. This is the second instance where Dev comes across Vicky's misbehaviour or offence whatever it is. The way Vicky insulted Police officer shows him in poor light. He is taking it for granted that Dev will be there to save him for anything and every thing. So Dev sent the right signal to him that he won't tolerate such indecent and non sensical behaviour of him and shield him every time. Next time Vicky would think twice to call Dev after doing another mischief. Such people won't mend their ways even if they were told in a soft manner. If Dev brought him home and then took a class Vicky would definitely have taken him lightly and he also has immense support from his mother. So I feel in Vicky's case Dev is right. Sona is wrong. But I am happySona is gradually realising the real nature of Dev . But she has to go miles still to reach the adorable child,a devoted son,a responsible brother, an efficient business tycoon and ofcourse a young man with his ego and confidence who can adopt a wrong path sometimes to achieve his purpose like he did in Sona's case.On the whole to me Dev is endearing and heartwinning. Ofcourse a lot because of Shaheer whom I love and adore.

From what we have seen till now I doubt if Neha wants to be in her mom's good books...she wants care and love but not because she is better than anyone or at the expense of anyond else ..she never actually tries to show she is better than Dev ...shd only wants to be cared for like Dev or the younger girls...if she actually wanted to get into Ishwari's good books she wouldnt tell her whats in her mind whenever she gets a chance...but she might be against the relationship if things go sour between her and Sona...Neha to me seems a person who prefers not to poke her nose into others' lives...this is just my opinion

Lakshmi I am not asking to bring vicky home and give him some soft sermons. I am asking Dev to trash him like anything in a closed room once he is back home. And if his mother asks tell her that this time he has taken bail, but for what her son has done never expect even that the next time.
See when you insult publicly unexpected you will keep moral high but people like vicky's mother will harp. But if Dev does what I said above his mother cannot harp. Her son was not put in jail. Dev bought him home and for his crime gave him enough also making it clear next time no bail also

I understood your point Sruti. But some lessons should be learnt the hard way. Vicky needs that kind of tutoring. And his mother? I was too irritated on seeing her blame Dev as if he had done injustice to her son. I thoroughly enjoyed Dev tearing off the Bail papers. Ofcourse as you said Dev may have to face the after effects. Still I found the scene poignant and impactful. Dev's Charecter is elevated to a great extent.
